... in response to Ever spend 2 weeks in Colombia?, posted by Pete E on Oct 4, 2004

I told my current girlfriend about it when she saw some pictures on my computer. Her main concern was if I had used protection. She is not as hot looking as my last pro but the experience is much better. As I have said before its a poor substitute for a loving relationship.

They eat arepas.

At least that's what my wife says they are called.

... in response to Colombians don't eat tacos, posted by DallasSteve2 on Oct 4, 2004

The best arepas I had in Colombia were in a small town called La Caldera on the other side of the mountains north of Bogota.
The girl I was with wanted to show me her hometown on the way back from the Catedral de Sol in Zipaquiera.  On the side of the road as we came into La Caldera, there were about a dozen arepa stands in a row.  We went to her favorite one, the woman there made them about 4 inches in diameter with cheese inside.  Cooked on a grill over wood coals.  Damn good, muy rica!

For a moment I thought you were going to write:

"The girl I was with wanted to show me her arepa".

That's what I was really talking about.
