know it already) Pollera--A traditional, intricate designed, colorful dress native to the Colombian coastal regions used to dance the original and "only" cumbia of Colombia. In Colombian slang/verbal idiosyncrancy it can also mean an older lady (usually refined and attractive) who keeps company with "young" men....lol I remember in '98 an American priest used that word to describe a lady coming out of a performance-needless to say, she took it the wrong way...I will try to update little tidbits of this info and examples for you Aaron because it seems you not only are looking for a soulmate in Colombia but also are immersing youself in the culture--very smart and rewarding-bravo to you--God Bless...Colman
