Does anybody know where you can get good rates for phone calls to Brazil-Portugal. I used to use a Sams club ATT card that was decent but they now raised the rate to call cell phones and it is overpriced. Thanks if anyone knows a good card to call cell phones.

I just switched to a new service from noblecom that provides 11 cpm to cell phones in LA... The quality of service is hit-and-miss sometimes, but the rate is much better that other services I have found... Go to www.enjoyprepaid.com and check it out...

The best service I have found is from Cognigen... Quality of connection is always excellent and never have a problem getting a circuit, but at 29 cpm it's not inexpensive...

I spoke with my girlfriend today and she told me she gets calling cards for her cellphone for 10 euros = 90 minutes. She will start to call me instead besides I kept on getting poor connections but when she called me it was crystal clear. She doesn't want me to pay her for the calls so I will make it up to her when I go to Brasil at the end of June. Thanks for the message I found a place also the card is called US2Global.com I don't know if it's any good. It says 13 cents a minute to cellular in  Lisbon with a $.49 surcharge per week and 90 day time limit. I purchase one like this before it was a different company and they add so many taxes that you get about 5 minutes so I don't know maybe I will try it.

You have to be careful with all the add-on costs with these services... The noblecom plan I went with had no connection charges, no weekly service charges and 1 minute rounding on call charges @ 11cpm... Best I could find... But still, I have to call 3 - 4 times just to get a connection and the quality of the connection is not that good... Sometimes we will be in the middle of a conversation and the connection drops... When I redial I can't get through... I call back immediately with the higher prices service and can always get through... I guess you get what you pay for...

Good luck...

I have the same problem with ATT and sometimes I do't get a connect but they take a minute off. Sundays, it usually takes me about ten tries to get through and I usually lose four to five minutes. They used to be great because Cell or regular phone lines were the same price now they want more for cellular. The US phone companies should get rid of these barriers then maybe they would sell more phones.
Europe is cheaper than our rates. Oh well she can get cards for cheaper and every weekend she calls her mother anyways. I will help here out when I go see her because she is giving alot of her own money to her mother to pay the house off. I don't like her paying for the phone but she pays 1/4 of what I do so it makes sense to pay her to call me, she is just sweet and doesn't want to accept money and doesn't want me wasting money.
