Helen and I were looking at maps I have of PI the other day..And I wanted to get some others, ie; both natives and non's thoughts or input about this. If you were going to move to PI someday....and you were looking at all angles from weather, location, reasonable safety/secure areas, cost of land, build materials, access to medium city..etc. What would be your ideal place/area in the Islands to live?

I have not put a lot of thought into this....but I'd have to say that Cagayan de Oro would be a good place.

Well Zeb, since you put weather first on your list, the answer has to be Baguio (but more expensive).

..or maybe Jolo!

Seriously though Zeb, there are so many good places it's hard to choose.  It would be easier to identify places that you wouldn't consider.

For pristine places, Palawan or the west coast of Samar or southern Leyte have some wonderful locations.  Northern Luzon has some great beaches and cooler weather.  The north coast of Mindanao has some terrific spots.  There are so many mid-visayan islands I haven't seen yet that I wonder how beautiful they might be.

(singing)

Home, home Baa--silan,
Where the snake, and the carabao play,
Where often is heard,
"Come with us, you white nerd!"
And your head may roll downhill all daaay.

Hi Abu Jimbo,

(2nd Verse)

Home, home Baa--silan,
Where a ball and a head can play,
While I may not be tall,
I'll be shorter by nightfall
Then my head will chase you for days.

Greetings Abu Dave H.,

Put down your M-79 and sing with me:

Home, home Baa--silan,
Where Kumander Jimbo roams free,
Got a kidnapping planned,
We'll get more money, man!
If an M-16 round don't get meee.

Greetings Kumander Abu Jimbo,

I am singing and dancing with my M-79. Happiness is a warm gun.

(4th verse)

Home, home Baa--silan,
Where Jeff Shilling got in shape for free,
Now he looks very slim,
And didn't pay for a gym,
But he still owes us our room and board fee.

...and happiness is a dull sword.

Ok, Abu Dave H., have you finished your morning rice ball?  Here we go:

Home, home Baa--silan,
Where the leech and the hostages play,
I've got ransom-deal blues,
Coz ol' Erap was cool,
But now it's that d@~ned GMA.

Kumusta Kumander Abu Jimbo,

Rice ball down, want Chippy and Sarsi! No sari-sari on the bundok. Shocked(

Maybe we should make a karaoke disk. We could become rich and it's alot easier than this room and board stuff. I'm ready to sing! Let's begin:

Home, home Baa--silan,
Where only Sabaya knows what to say,
Where seldom is heard,
An encouraging word,
All I want is my cut of the pay.
