... in response to Good Movie! ;o)  (n/t), posted by Dave H2O on May 9, 2001

The title is "Kahit Konting Pagtingin" aka "Even a little caring/loving" which is a sort of a May-December, rich girl poor man love story.  And its Sharon Cuneta too.

... in response to Well, have you seen that movie?, posted by Carrisse on May 9, 2001

I'll have to remember this, check it out, and purchase it the next time I make a web purchase from PilipinoSuperstore.

When I purchased a bunch of CDs from PilipinoSuperstore on the web, I thought I'd try a couple of movies too.  Since I like Sharon Cuneta, I ordered "Kapantay at Langit".  I also ordered "The Flor Contemplacion Story" thinking that would be an educational biography.  I enjoyed watchin both those movies.  "The Flor Contemplacion Story" had English captioning so I couled better understand it.

About "Kapantay at Langit" I could only vaguely understand what was spoken, but I think I understood the plot.  Is this movie really based on a real life story?  I think Sharon Cuneta is divorced.  In the movie it was obvious she was in love with a man named Steve.  I remember her daughter Kristy from the movie.  After reading on of the CD inlays, I understand she has a daughter in real life named Kristy.

"Kapantay at Langit" means "? and Heaven"?  I couldn't find "kapantay" in any of my Tagalog dictionaries.  Well, I think I'd enjoy watching more Sharon Cuneta movies.

Carrisse,

I am familiar with the movie. I have a nearby sari sari store that rents Filipino videos. Kevin and I like Shawie.  But, I prefer the action films. Tagalog is hard to understand...action and shooting isn't. ;o)

Carrisse,

I think Kevin prefers Shawie's singing. He has several CDs. I like Fernado Poe Jr. also and have seen a few Erap movies. Have you seen Minsan Pa Kahit Konting Pagtingin 2. I haven't yet.

I like the Fernando Poe-Eddie Garcia tandem such as Kapag Puno ng ang Salop and Bukas Hindi ka na sisikatan ng Araw.  I love FPJ even though he's Erap's friend.

Hi Carrisse,

FPJ is very talented and I admire his work, both on screen and directing. I don't hold his Erap friendship against him either. I have friends that I don't always approve of their actions, but I am still there for them. Maybe he is a loyal friend. Acting is entertainment and politics is...well, acting and entertainment too. ;o)) Unfortunately, the inocents really do get hurt in politics...unlike the movies. Shocked(
