Is is just me or are there others here who get a real kick on how this guy uses words. I mean, I am not usually in the attack mode but LP does it with a flare that almost always leaves me laughing.

I mean things like this:

If I'd known you were such a weenie, I wouldn't have wasted my time on you with Cyprus. Who shot JR? I dunno, but he oughta try again.

This is because he did not like Juio99's response to Tootsie's request for advice. In Juio99's bio he signs it JR. This is not one of his classics but it still made me laugh.

Now I do not know JR and I do not mean to poke any fun at him. And most likely LP, JR and I could be buds in a minute meeting all of us to have a drink and talking all about this FSU stuff.

But I tell you, if I needed a wacking on the side of the head because I was off in the O-Zone layer. drifting from reality for whatever reason, I could trust LP to put some sense into me.

There are so many very special people here that I could give a list but I will not for fear of forgetting one. This place is a trip.

It seems you are not on your own Greg ! Where does he get these lines from ...... "When the shooti'n stopped and the dust settled, they all looked around to see who was still standing .... " or something very similar. Like, who would miss that episode for 'Quids' .....  LP get out of the left hand seat and in behind a desk, otherwise you'll miss your calling ! Keep looking at the 'screw' from your seat and your going to end up just like it in 200  hours, FINISHED.

...I speak OZ or I'd be confused, although the "Quid" reference is lost on me.

Screw? Oh, right, thats what you guys call a prop. I don't deal with screws much and the ones I do have are loose, ask anybody. :-) Besides, you know what they say about props: They don't make planes fly, there're only there to keep the pilots cool. (Because when they stop turning, we sure start sweating!) Get out from the left seat and behind a desk? Yikes! I'm already doing that part time and hate it. I much prefer the view from the other "office".

Thanks for the left seat comment, only on the smaller bizjets do I have that luxury. No, I spend most of my time in the right seat following the classic FO instructions: Gear Up, Flaps Up, Shut Up....

.....don't encourage me, its a "gift" I'm not exactly proud of. As a close friend often says: "If only he'd use his talent for good, instead of evil."

I'm workin on it, I really am, but some around here just bring out the worst in me. lol, you have no idea how hard I had to bite my tounge with the pregnant girlfriend post below, after the thing with Philb. I *have* noticed that the use of words with the "g" dropped (gonna, wanna, goin, ect) along with the use of "ya" has increased around here since I showed up. I know its real bad poangliski buts its just easier for me to communicate that way. Consider it my contribution, since I don't make much of any other one herebouts.

As I've said before, people who really know me describe me as a terrible cynic with a comedien trapped inside desperately tryin to escape. I know I'm a little rough around the edges but I'm workin on it, I really am. Frankly, like most gruff people, I'm actually a marshmellow inside. Just ask people who've met me, like Tootsie or Rostick.

lol, the *really* scary part is that face you see in the pointy end of your next plane ride could be mine. (Then again, I'm sure  many here would prefer to see me become a lawn dart.)

Besides, if I was really like this all the time, would any FSU chick ever put up with me? Honestly, its all more in jest than malice. Just tryin to liven the place up.

Hard core ones that is that value their arse first, and everything else last.

When you fly... there's a lot of grey areas.. just like life itself, however, when it comes to sink or swim... or crash or land in this case, LP makes decisions and expouses his criticism and advice in a rather "hardened" light... without a whole lot of wiggle room.

That's what LP is.  Not much wiggle room, and if you make a decision to play grey, when you should be playing hard ball, then you can confuse yourself enough that you'll get vertigo and crash and burn and you'll never know why.

He's just one of those kind of people.  Astute, strict, and hardball in the most serious game of life.

I'd just like to see the f laugh every once in a while.  He's the kind of guy that you could never buy anything for Christmas, because he's got everything he needs already.

lol....

LP is a born smart ass.  It's a gift.

You must not be from the US if you don't know who JR Ewing from the TV show was.
