I am back!*s* I never stay mad very long. It's better to get it out and move on. Funny what a little fresh  air will do for you. Sorry you have to go all the way to Baguio get clean air. *s*    Your friend Humabdos :-)

Hey Humabdos,

Were you just doing that to see how many people would beg you to come back? ;o)) I though of trying that myself, but I didn't want to be disappointed. ;o))

Nice pics!

Right?

Well, I'm trying to remember the April Fools joke I cracked in the Philippines in 1993.  I couldn't crack a joke about ants crawling on the bread, because unless the bread was spanking new fresh, there were always ants crawling on it.

Well, it's April and I've got to add to my Pinoy music library.  This would be a good time to try an April Boys CD.

Anybody familiar with the music of the April Boys?

This guy has a hit song "HINDI KO KAYANG TANGGAPIN" na mawawala ka akin (I can't get over the thought of losing you).  He sings it with much gusto complete with gestures.

Thanx.  I'll have to check for that tune.  I'm about to go on a cyber shopping spree at Pilipino Superstore.  I'd like to order a good sample variety of CD's.  So far, I like Sharon Cuneta the best for Pinoy music and was able to order several Sharon Cuneta CDs from Pilipino Superstore (in Artesia, California, USA).

If you go for ballads or jazz, try...BITUIN ESCALANTE or LANI MISALUCHA, they are both very good singers.

For bands,  I recommend SIDE A  or  FREESTYLE. they're really good.  *s*

Take a hike and bring a six-pack, okay? Then return here to post again.  We'll miss you.  Don't get into trouble okay and lay-off the threats.  You are a sweet man, remember?

Another one, "Old soldiers never die.  They just fade away."

Well, life is full of ironies.

I went to a coin shop today.

I picked up some unused 2 centavao "USA - Commonwealth of the Philppines" stamps today (6 of them).
Jose Rizal is on them.

I also came across a 1947-S silver, commemorative 1P Douglas MacArthur coin.  On the head, is a portrait of MacArthur, and the motto says "Defender and Liberator of the Philippines".  This coin was minted as a collector's edition in San Francisco to be legal tender in the Philippines.  It wasn't until about 1958 that the first RP specimens were produced for circulation.  For years thereafter, Philippines coins were produced at United States mints and exported to the Philippines.

Anybody into coins or stamps?  I find Philippine money very interesting in terms of variety.  It's one of the fun things I'll enjoy on my next trip to the Philippines.

I also have a bag full of Philippines stamps from the early 1990's when I had alot of pen-pals.  The stamps depicted all kinds of different things.  I have alot depicting floweres of the Philippines.  There was also a special Mt. Pinatuba assessment that was funded via Philippine postage (1P and 25s stamps).  Nowadays, all Philippine stamps I've seen are of a patriotic/political nature.  Until recently (about 1999), they depicted the Philippine flag.  Now they depict past and present Presidents.  Before Erap was impeached, I received an envelope that included an Erap P5 stamp.
