... in response to Time from NOA at INS Nebraska to Moscow, posted by slimjimco on Mar 6, 2002Once you've recieved your notice in the mail you can expect Moscow to have it 2 weeks later. After that it just depends on how busy they are. If you call the Embassy you will here a message saying it takes X amount of time for them to schedule an interveiw, but that isn't accurate either, they would rather you be surprised with an earlier date then one later then what they say on a recording. Usually from the time you are approved by Nebraska you'll have an interveiw about 6 weeks later, of course nothing is certain anymore. In any case just e-mail the Embassy 2 weeks later( NSC uses normal mail to Moscow ) and ask if they've received it. In a earlier post I suggested that people make copies of their approval then FedEx it to your lady, she can then take this approval to the Embassy herself ( tell her to never lose it or let them keep it )and get the name check started and save a couple of weeks, also she can get all the forms she'll need for her medical and visa. Moscow no longer mails out package #3, the only time she will here from them is when they issue her an interveiw date.
