no swipes, just lay it out on the table for her - financial problems etc.

Best thing for any situation like this is real honesty.

just my 2 cents.

... in response to Be sure she knows your dilemna ws..., posted by BrianN on Jan 25, 2002

I tell her business slow and little money.  Of course, today I'm sending her $150 bucks for support.

When spring & summer gets here autoglass sales pickup, plus the hyrdoponic tomatos 200+ plants, will start generating some good cash, no tax money.  I was telling her I want to do this as all the grocery stores in my area have told me they'll buy all I've got.

If this takes off I'll build a much larger greenhouse 30x128' and go into large scale production and over time build a few more.

She loves this idea as she can be at home taking care of her 4 year old boy.  She isn't a rocket scientist, or a doctor.  Right now, she designs drapes and curtains...I told her she must learn how to sew!  In order to have a valid business...

I told her, we'll get the tomato, green pepper, cucumber hydroponic business  up and running, and she will meet alot of people selling the veggies.

Word will get out she's a european drapery/curtain designer/interior designer and I'm sure she'll be quite busy.

Growing these plants is really so simple (no dirt to til).
plastic pipe irrigation system, water the plants with a flip of a switch... fun work.  Even funner because, most hdyro tomato sell for $1 ea.  (one plant per season will yield 40 lbs).
