I am still waiting for my Fiance Visa package to arrive from INS...i should have ordered it before my trip..i wasn't thinking..anyway,my question is to save time can i download the G325A and fax it to my fiance in the Philippines or can she just download it herself from INS from the internet cafe in the Philippines??...this would save the  mailing time of sending it to her and then her mailing it back...as always, thanks in advance for your help.

                     Best regards

... in response to Question about the G325A Form...., posted by red on Oct 23, 2001

Red,

Yes, she should be able to download the form and print it out, if she can find an Internet café with a good quality printer. I don’t know why, but the last time I was there, most of the cyber cafés were using old dot matrix printers with ribbons.

If she can get a decent printout, she can then have Xerox copies made. Have her make at least 5 copies. She can fill out one and then make 4 copies of the completed form before she signs it. Then have her sign and date the original and 3 copies and send them to you to submit with your application, keeping one copy for herself. Also have her sign another 4 blank pages and send them to you also, just in case you find any major errors and need to redo it. From my experience and that of others, the INS doesn’t give a rat’s ass if you use the original carbon forms or a downloaded copy.

Also have her print out and sign and date a simple statement of intent to marry you within 90 days of arrival on a fiancée visa, as described in section 5 D of the I-129F instructions.

She will also need to get the ADIT photo as required for the petition. Have her send you an extra one also for backup. What city is she near? I know a place in Cebu that can do the correct photos if she is in town.

...in addition to making sure one of the cafés has a quality laser printer is the task of finding one that has Adobe Acrobat installed or one of the free browser plug-ins. I remember visiting several cafés in Cebu and none had it. I convinced the assistant at one of them to let me DL the plug-in but the connection was so unbearably slow, I would've been sitting there for an hour-and-a-half. Just something to think about.
