Gallaeria Suites Makati

and

Mandarin Oriental. Makati

Any comments on the quaility of the rooms/price/ location to shops etc?

Thanks

You can stay for less than half the price in hotels much closer to the airport and close to the ocean in Ermita. Makati is mostly high-rise buildings and huge shopping malls.

Taliman,

Do you prefer Makati for some reason?  I don't know anyone who has stayed at those hotels.  I like staying on Roxas Blvd. (Ermita or Malate) because of the bay with the promenade, the view, and Harrison's Plaza or Robinson's.  The Aloha Hotel is under $45 per night.  The Manila Hotel with discount was $80 per night in the spring.  I always used asia-travel.com.

Good Luck,
Jim

Hi Jim,
Her first time to Manila and we've been apart for over a year so would like
our reunion to be a nice one.

Yep, I used Asiatravel before and will use them again.

Waiting for a response from them but forgot today is a holiday for them.
Thanks

Taliman,
Sorry, not familiar with those hotels either, but I agree with Jim, we use Asia-travel as well...always had great service! They can arrange airport transfers but they are usually $10.00 each way in a private car....more expensive than a cab...but less hassle than dealing with the throng of drivers!

God Bless!
