I saw the movie "Monsoon Wife" tonight. It is about an expat in Cambodia and was shot entirely on location. Although perhaps of more interest to the Asian list, the movie dealt with a few issues relevant to this list.
In the movie the expat's girlfriend is an ex-prostitute. She's a fantastic lady who just was just trying to survive. Although not the main focus of the movie, in the end the expat decides to marry the his girlfriend and form a family with her and her daughter, conceived while the mother was working as a prostitute at 16.
So yes, you can find love with a ex-prostitute according to the movie.
The man was hesitant to commit to this woman but after a dramatic experience in the movie he makes the right decision. He was blessed to have her. Don't mess up if you have a good woman with a good heart even if she isn't perfect.
Good movie, for those of you who have a life, rent it with your wife or girlfriend.
For those who don't have a life, rent it to kill some time as you hope for a wife or girlfriend.
