"It all depends on the girl not the country." Both ways - good and bad.

Great report.  If I hadn't gotten married in CR, I would try Peru before I returned to Colombia.

I dated a Peruvian in CR who was exactly like you described except that she had met lots of gringos (living in CR).  She was a sweetie, bright and would make a great wife.  She was a platonic friend.  I gave her English lessons and she made me ceviche for my birthday.

VIVA PERU!!!

Glad you liked it. Also great that you can travel throughout the country safely. I have met only one Peruana, a friend of my wife, who struck me as being a golddigger. And this was only after she had lived in Miami for awhile.

We are going to visit the Peruvian jungle next year and they tell me that area will dispel the notion that all the hotties are in Colombia. Heck, Lima has more than I could ever get around to.

From what I've read here regarding Columbia, it seems an extremely risky endeavor.   Lots of compliments on the women's physical appearance, and less so on their character.  And paying so much money to an agency for a service that one could perform on their own seems to only compound the financial risk.  It places a large chunk of your travel budget in the hands of someone who could care less whether you succeed or not.

I travelled unaccompanied to Lima, with no high hopes or plans---and no hotel resevations---and played it all by hand.  I found a decent hotel soon enough ("Maria Angola"), and went about browsing the city.  Lots of casinos, restaurants, craft shops, museums, etc.  Extremely cordial people, the women have no hang-ups, everyone is approacheable, and the incidental encounter with a beautiful woman is, of course, inevitable.

I think one differance between Columbia and Peru is that many tourists who come to Peru do so for the sites:  Cuzco, Machu-Pichu, etc.  Scouring for a potential mate doesn't seem to be the main draw.

Peruvian women seem indifferent to the appeal many others have regarding immigration to the U.S.  And they seem indifferent to the trend of learning English.  I could only guess that it is their simple pride (not nationalism), and the ease by which they find fullfillment, despite not having all of the material goodies.  Appearances may have deceived me... but, among Peruvian women I've detected none of the vagaries of American women.  Instead, I sensed a greater level of natural feminine character than I've noticed among women elsewhere in the world.

Peace out!

You described my wife perfectly.  Indifferent ot coming to the US and a high level of natural feminity.  She's Costa Rican.

The lack of desire to come to the US is a huge advantage in that you can trust the woman and a huge disadvantage in that since she doesn't want to come to the US you can only rely on your charm and personality.

I will agree with you on everything you have said except the part about learning English.

I talk to many people in peru and the majority know some English and a good percentage write and speak it fairly well. Thye tend to like more westernized or American music and culture then do the Colombians.

I have 5 friends i speak to on a regular basis from different parts of Peru and 3 of the women are almost fluent in English.

I really hope that we can hear more about Peru here.  I have spent a few weeks in Peru and Colombia and found the people in Peru so polite and humble and nice, and the people in Colombia, err,  not so polite and humble and nice.  Many messages on this board echo that.

Agreed, Colombia has far far more hotties.  But I think Peru has a decent number of 7's.

Hey Turner!!

I too found what I was looking for in Lima after many visits to Cali and Bogota....Lima has some very beautiful and very sincere women but your right....just not the large percentage that Colombia has...BUT....it is the "fishing hole with the fewest poles in it" so the very attractive women in Lima are available for you and not getting ask out 3 times a day like the same woman would in Cali and Bogota (saw that many times!!)

I could easily also see myself living in Lima, an area like Miraflores would be great...have a full time maid for 100 dollars a month, house by the beach, life would be just fine there!!

Good Luck!!!!!!

- "...sway-back butts"

We would appreciate a little more explanation here.  What's a "sway-back butt"?

Do these women have any shape at all? Or does a flat piece of cardboard have more shape?
