It would do you well to learn the language, and go practice it, rather that look at meaningless articles on "neutralized mexicanspanish".
Latinas don't care.............

You're right. They don't care. The Spanish spoken here is either Tex-Mex or Mexican Spanish. My wife doesn't care as long as she can understand what they're saying. Sure she thinks Colombian Spanish is superior, after all she is a Colombiana.

The articles says that Colombians do in fact care about their language and their way of speaking.  I, personally, would like to know that this is an issue in the Spanish-speaking community and that the type of Spanish that is spoken on US television might not meet my (future) Colombian novia's approval.  I'm sure that at least some others appreciate the information.

Of course, one needs to work on Spanish but it makes sense to understand these regional variations in the language.

So, shut up, read the article and educate your ignorant self.

Oh yeah, instead of attacking me, write the Washington Post and tell THEM that the article is meaningless.

I would also recommend that you not read anything that I post so you won't waste your time responding to me when you could be studying Spanish or taking out the trash or something.

Mr. Clay or Phoenix,
I would have you know that I am somewhat fluent in spanish, so I guess the joke is on you ..... Again!!  Get your sorry butt in gear, and go meet some latinas in Colombia.  You can have that disscussion with them about whose spanish is better - but be warned, they will be speaking to YOU in spanish!

Good for you but don't try to control what I post.  Now translate that into Spanish.

If the story was good enough for the Washington Post it's good enough for this damn list.

I don't need your commentary unless you have something "meaningful" to say. If someone else had posted that story you would have remained silent. Get the hell off my back.  I assure you that I will continue to post any such story that comes to my attention so Por favor, cierre la boca.

Please correct my incorrect Americanized Spanish.
