What counts for Tall in Colombia?

I continue to see a significant percentage of women I click on at Jamie's site ask for tall men.

I see one 4'10" female, who I would have been interested in otherwise, ask for a guy who is 5'11".

Colombia is a short guys paradise, because 5'10" is a tall Colombiano.5"7" is medium height. But if the woman says tall, which they rarely do,I would say that means at least 5'10" desired. Here tall might be 6"2" plus.
And usually they will accept less that they say,but be prepared, they might be serious. If they make a point of it its probably more important than things like age, which is usually quite flexible.I was scanning web sites yesterday, saw a 26 year old that said 30-40 who is dating a 50 something guy I know.
Tall was always a pisser for me too.I'm 5'7".It sems in the US even little 5"2" girls want 6" plus guys, like they miss daddy. And its one thing I can't change. But its rarely a problem in Colombia.

Dude... This is not new....Women as a majority regardless of their nationality (and their own height) prefer taller guys to shorter ones. It's just a fact that can't be helped.

I am 6'2" so it is not an issue for me but I feel for any guy who isn't tall. A lot of guys get dismissed without the chicks even giving them a chance. They could be the greatest guys in the world but if they're 5'6", forget it. And the worst ones about this are the short women!

Thanks for saying that.  It is very irritating when tall guys lecture short guys that something must be wrong with their personality when they say they can't get dates.  As you say, they can be the greatest guy in the world and find few interested women even among those who are clearly shorter than they are.

At 5'6", I have found out that here I can pretty much forget it.  Even when you find a date the woman is not enthusiastic about you.  It may turn out that I could find a quality woman here but it would be nothing more than pure luck.  There is no demand for 5'6" men.

You are abolutely wrong, shorty. It is the attitude that carries the weight. My grandmother was 5'11 and grandpa was all of 5'6. She was a very beautiful woman  and had many suitors. Daddy J.(Grandpop) had the self worth and self confidence to be a giant slayer and captured the heart of this beauty. Something you can forget about with your sad attitude. Another check up from the neck up is in order for you. Try a daily dose until you feel worthy of the gift of life. Then attempt to partner with someone. Now, nor in the forseeable future is the right time for you my friend to think about partnering with another human. Didn't someone tell you to get a puppy?

Grandmother?  Oh give me a freaking break.  Yes, back in the day women knew how to spot good men and they snatched them up like hotcakes with syrup.

Today, it's a different story.

If you want to be of use to man- I mean womankind, go on a woman's list and lecture them about not rejecting good men because of height - especially when those men are still often taller than they are.

They are the ones who have the damn attitude problem.  Not me.

Your height 5'6 has a direct correlation to your IQ. I made an expression to get you over the hump of self pity. However, I must have been on something stronger than beer and forgot that I was dealing with asshead.

Yup,
In the US even the 4'10"s would think you're too short.Been there.
Go south young man,go south.Don't stop at Panama, you tried that.Proceed to Colombia, pass go,collect good woman.Don't run her off by whining.Leave that behavior behind.Assume you are the man,and you are the man.

I've got 1 for you.  I am 6'2" also, and get some attention from taller girls.  But I am always attracted to 5'4" to 5'7" types, rarely anyone taller.  Not intentionally, it just works out that way.

While I agree that being taller is lucky for some of us, I will make a mostly anecdotal argument that I beleive that to be changing.

I have noticed something....literally on the streets.  I see taller women paired up with men that are smaller than them.  I mean a lot.  Enough that I noticed.  I think its all good since there ought to be enuf love for everyone out there.  Has anyoen else noticed this also (as a recent trend)?

Ciao

You are sure right about that. The only women besides short women that prefer taller men are tall women 5’10’’ and up. I am 6’3’’ and have dated women from 4’11’’ to 5’11’’.  A 5’2’’ woman with a 6’3’’ guy looks awkward, yet most of my girl friends have been 5’2’’ and this may be going off topic but there something about a smaller girl in the bedroom that has its advantages. I married a 5’7’’ which of course is considered tall in Colombia. If I recall the average girl is 5’3’’ in the United States and the average guy is 5’10’’.
Pete is also correct; a guy shorter than average should not have any issues down here and that also goes for the very tall guys. I saw one guy over 7’ do real well and his height seemed to be more of a lure than a disadvantage which you would think it would be at a certain point. Most of the women are indicating their preferences not their requirements. I have seen those preferences fall by the way side too often the exception being race preferences.

I AGREE WITH YOU ABOUT SHORT WOMEN AND THE WAY THEY FIT A TALL GUY IN THE BEDROOM

I AM 6"3 AND MY WIFE WAS 5"6

\IT WAS AN OK FIT, BUT 5"2-5"3 ALWAYS WAS MORE COMFORTABLE FOR ME AS WELL

I WILL ENGAGE IN THE EXOTIC FROM TIME TO TIME.    WINK WINK

The average woman is around 5'4" and the average guy is 5'9" according to what I have seen.  It's impossible for all women to have tall men.

Jamie, I think many women on your site are racist.  They have a right to be that way but that doesn't change the fact that they are.  Even many of those who obviously have African blood in them are racist.  God bless them and I hope they find their White fantasy.

True, some women who say that they want tall guys would "settle" for something less.  However, I would avoid such a woman.  If she says that to begin with, she's not the kind of woman I would be looking for anyway.

And even if such a woman was flexible, what happens when she gets to the US and all of a sudden lots of tall handsome guys are saying "Hi, wow, you are certainly an attractive woman" or "Hey Baby, what's up?".

Where does that leave the short husband?
