Of course. It was just a dirty little secret she told some friends about but took no action against him at the time and continiued to use her "friendship" with him to her benefit.
Then, when he gets nominated for the supreme court, same friends say,"hey didn't he say some things to you?We got to keep him off the court.A few more blacks like him and we might have to get a real job."
And she was the hero of the feminists.Poor abused person.
Too afraid to say anything, untill the whole world was looking on.Again,to me her behavior was worse than his, presuming he lied, which I think is about 90% probable.

Pete:

My take on the Clarwnce Thomas hearings is different then yours. Obviously and logically someone wasn;t telling the truth because their accounts were so different.

But few people ever considered what I think actually happened, they both lied. My theory is that they had an affair which ended badly, he dumped her (he was married and had career ambitions higher then chairman of the EEO), she went off the deep end and concocted the story of sexual harassment, porn and pubic hairs on the Coke can to gain revenge.  "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" Amd she was extaordinarily convincing.

All he could do was stonewall and deny because he could never admit in public thet they had been lovers.

Just my opinion

I think you might be right.

But I'll say this.  The man is an inspiration to all.

Hmm,
Interesting, highly speculative, maybe true.I guess I believed her testamony and think that was at least part of it.
My opinion,if someone made suggestive remarks or maybe played grabass as Arnold is supposed to have done, speak up.The law is on your side.To bring up the issue many years later, even if true,is pretty pathetic.Like it really didn't mean anything untill you had a chance to hurt someone with it.
Note to the sex police. Most of us don't give a sh!t.If someone was actually raped or something thats different, although still less than a capital offence.Otherwise its misdameanor stuff max.But go ahead and report it,right away,if you think appropriate. If not,let it go forever.
I guess it did make it a little different,Clarence Thomas was in charge of the agency that was supposed to prosicute sexual harassment.I always thought that word a little funny,as in "her ass" ment.
Reminds me of a joke.A group of people were on an elevator.A woman yells out "I've been Geesed".A guy says "the word is goosed."The woman says " I can count."
