God Shakira captures the overall qualities of a Latina.....especially a Colombiana....yeah thats right robbysanjuan---you read right--not even Jlo's insured butt or ghetto broken Spanish could even come close to the levels of Shakira as an "authentic" talented, voluptuous, charming, humble, beautiful, intelligent, creative, Latina/Colombiana........que viva Shakira carajo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!----God bless all--Colman

My wife went to senior elementary school with Shakira. Shk. was
well-known in Barranquilla for her world-renowned behind, but
not as a beauty. My wife does not recognize the face anymore:
the chin, eyes, nose have all been re-sculptured.

Another interesting aspect for your fantasies: she bleached
her hair to figure in our dreams as a Latin bomba. But,
Barranquilla woman are attracted to Anglo men less than in
other areas of Colombia. They prefer Argentinian men. Even
her chubby Argentine boyfriend is a "bombo" for her compared
to us.

Not saying what you are saying in not true BUT--most cosmetic surgeries (even good ones by the hollywood elite) can be noticed by close awareness. Perhaps since 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of Colombian women are superfine as it is, Shakira and Sofia Vergara are "average" in a typical Colombians eyes--God bless--Colman

 I bought my first Shakira cd back in 97 or 98 in Dallas on a business trip.  I had never heard of her at the time, but she just 'looked' like she could sing.  Now, I don't understand a word of Spanish but as soon as I listened to it, I went and bought everything else I could find by her!   For some reason, I can listen to Shakira all day long and still look forward to doing the same the next day.....must be some sort of addictive drug for the mind hidden away in her lyrics.  LOL

I've seen Shakira twice so far. The first time was a few years back in Santo Domingo in a 16th century fort. That was before she started singing in english and most people in the US knew who she was. I also just saw her this fall at Madison Square Garden. Another great show. I pretty much flew to NY from the DR just for that concert. Stayed about 10 days, but if it weren't for her concert, I'd have stayed here.

Now, I just read yesterday, that she will play the baseball stadium here in Santo Domingo on March 18th. I will definitely be there!

Her guitar player started playing a riff that sounded familiar. Just as my buddy and I were looking at each other saying. . . ..nah. . . . .can't be. . ...they launch into "Dude Looks Like a Lady" by Aerosmith! We were very surprised! Not even half as surprised as we were when immediately afterwards they launched into. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .......................................................
ACDC's "Back In Black"..... It was very cool. My buddy's wife and her friend didn't like the concert nearly as much as we did! Too much "rock" for these latinas!
