To much talk about the green card sharks!

 I want to hear more about the ringers. You know the real hotties that get the guys to join the agencies. The ones that like to go out to dinner and the mall with gingos but have no intentions of ever getting married to a gringo or coming to the states.

 Actually I wish there was a board like this for the women in the Cali agencies so they could share their horror stories about dating and being married to gringos. There's two sides to every coin.

I think its good that we hear about all type of women that guys encounter.We just need to keep it in perspective.Actually I'm not so concerned about guys that have traveled to Colombia,even ones who have been burned and are now negative on Colombianas.I am concerned new guys
checking out their options will get an unbalenced impression.
There are all kinds of girls at the agencies.I think the original intent of almost all was to find a good husband and largely still is.But other games have developed over time.
First there are the girls that want a husband but not neccesarily for the guy himself but what he can offer.Even here most I think are open to a guy they could really love but will accept alot less for the benefits.The worst of these are the "green card sharks"who will go for any guy then dump him when they get what they want,taking him for all they can in the process.
You mention ringers.I think the original definition here was women on a web site who were no longer available,or never were available.This is different from user type girls who are very particular about who they will truly get involved with(somewhat like AW),but have learned to play the game for benefits in the mean time.This is actually understandable and I think not unethical if they are not dishonest about it.Here is the sceanario.Good looking chica gets lots of attention from gringos.They all want to take her out.They will spend money for drinks and intertainment and diners and even offer gifts.These guys can be such easy pickings its hard not for the girls to take advantage.I think the unethical part comes in where the woman starts professing feeling she does not have for the guy for the goodies.Some of the worst cases of abuse are internet related where guys get milked for goodies from women they never met who may be totally unavailable.Like the recent story of the 50 year old married woman working a number of extremely niaeve guys for money.
But back to the guy looking for a wife.There are lots of good girls available.If you go for the flashy sexy one that is way over your head and gives off red flags she really isn't interested in you,you get what you get.I hesitate to say be realistic because what is realistic in Colombia is so much better than what is realistic here,but there are limits.Its buyer beware.Its easy to lose your head and your judgement,but you have yourself to blame if you do."She conned me".And what was your contribution to this?Just niaeve behavior?
The solution?Go for character first.You can find girls that are good looking enough and are very real and honest.If you go for the hottest model,particularly if you are not the hottest model,you are asking for trouble.There are thousands,yes thousands of good girls on the books in Cali.They are not the ones getting most of the attention.Go for the flashy ones at your risk.I would dig deeper in those books.You will be surprised how good some of these girls look in person.You will find ones refreshingly honest who really do just want a good husband.They are there believe me.I am married to one.And to me she is as beautifull as any of them,she was just not as flashy in pictures.Its hard to believe my beautifull sweetheart had been at the agency 8 months and I was her first interview.
She was 33 and had a child,that might have stopped guys from even considering her.But if you are 40+ I think its wise to be considering 30+ girls.Go for 20 year olds at your risk.That  can work though,particularly if you have alot going for you.I have seen it happen.It seems guys will go for the young ones because they can.If you are seemingly way out of your league caution is advised,less you become our next horror story.
Colombia is still the best option I know of for the guy who will not accept what he can get in a woman here.But there are very tempting ladies who can take advantage of the guy who is not carefull.They are definetly in the minority I think,but some guys seem to hone in on them like a heat seeking missle.Buyer beware is good advice here.

Over the past few years , I have run into several grils that say they are only in the agencies just to be exposed to different cultures, have little on no intention of marrying.  This group only makes up about 5% of all the girls in the agency.

Are we supposed to name names?  There was a girl at Ricardo's All Colombian Girls in Cali who was a stunning, young college student.  I interviewed her and she said immediately that she was not looking for a husband, just wanted to meet new people.  She was very cold and brief and dressed very sexy.  A working girl?  I didn't ask.

Why would a girl waste her time with gringos if she didn't want to get married or she didn't want cash?  I don't think a date is enough of a reason.  The hot ones can get dates in Cali with no trouble.

Maybe she's looking for a husband but she knew immediately that you weren't it.  So she makes up a quick white lie.  Anyway, I think this is more likely the case than her being a so called "ringer".  Some of the young agency gals are picky and I think they have every right to be just as the guys do to.

had the same experience with ACG. some of the gils say they are not interested in marriage, some just like high class (by colombian standards) living at the cost of gringos.
