Observations on L.E. threads

Been reading the board here for a long while.  It isn't that often that an owner of a major agency in Cali stops by.  Especially one as highly regarded as Margareth at LE.  So I was amazed at how she was treated.  For a long while now, when newbies asked what agency to check out in Cali, it has always been Latin Best and LE, as others come and go.  So why treat her so badly?  I have read several times that Colombian woman are not confrontational, maybe that is why she did not want to get in a pissing match with Wayne, that is best cleared up off the board anyway.  But here was a great opportunity to ask why she doesn't have weekly rates, or if she advises her women to accept marriage proposals on the second date, (me thinks not :0) but I will let her answer that, he he he).  But instead she was treated like dirt, I didn't expect anyone to worship the ground she walks on, after all, the only things worshiped around here are good looking latinas, and money, and about the money,  I think Margareths worst character flaw is that she expects american men to spend some.

I was encouraged with her response to my questions. I agree that she felt uncomfortable with the Negative posts about Herself and Agency. As a Poster said, best to judge an Agency owner himself and not listen to gossip. hello A1A -  I hope all is well with you in your search.

I am not sure where you heard that colombian women are not confrontational.  All of the ones I know I would not describe this way, at least not the younger ones.  The ones I know are quick to stand up for themselves.  I think it comes from dealing with the colombian men.

I think Margareth would be better served by trying to clear this up with Wayne instead of calling him a liar.  She half way admitted that something was being said about his wife, although  apparently not by her but someone who is no longer working there.  It sounds to me like Wayne was a good customer.  He stayed there a month.  If I was an agency owner and a good customer had a problem with me or my agency, I would do all I could to get it straigtened out and make it right.  The customer is KING.  As long as I have been participating on PL, I am most impressed by how professional Nelson of LAI is.  He seems genuinely concerned for his customers and his reputation.

I think it was good that Margareth posted here on PL and maybe she will continue to post and answer your question on her rates and any other questions you have.  I also think that Wayne was doing the gentlemen here a service by posting his experience and opinion of Margareth and LE.

I am not sure if we were reading the same posts but I do not recall where she was "treated like dirt".  Can you show me an example or explain how you came to this conclusion??

We get to hear all sides here and decide for ourselves.I think there is a little truth in all of it.
Calipro (Frank S.)did some excellent posts about his success at latin encounters.It sounds like if Margareth can be alot of help in finding the right girl.
Wayne has told us his experience and from reading his posts for along time I have alot of respect for his opinions.It seems to me Margareth never really answered Wayne's comments directly.I am going to conclude there is alot of truth in them.
But that being said Latin Encounters has a good overall reputation,despite the reports of medling and manipulation for money,so I would still consider it a good choice of an agency.Perhaps Margareth might reconsider some of her behavior that has offended people in the past.Otherwise she seems to have an excellent agency.
Its good to let her defend herself here,althouigh I wonder when it becomes advertising,but I will let Patrick make that call.

Hi !!

I am glad to stop by and answer your questions if my knowledge is useful to you on the board. My intention is not to force anyone to join this agency or plan a wedding with me.I would say there are a couple of really good agencies in Cali, this is a very special kind of business and it takes experience, human touch and vocation..
This month only ,I have been to two  weddings of people who met here in LE  and both the brides were very dear friends of mine. They decided to plan their wedding on their own or with their lady relatives.. and I have been glad to go to their ceremony and reception!
getting angry because I did not participate would be non-sense !
All the LE couples know that they are free to arrange everything by themselves or with my help if they need it.
As for Wayne I am sure there has been a misunderstanding at some point as it may happen often when too much people get involved in the development of the relationship.  I apologize if I offended him but I was just trying to make a point about exposing personal affairs here on the board as I was being  treated harshly , and I saw too much confusion regarding agencies.
You are welcome to visit our site as we have added new features so you can interact and clear up any doubt about cali or Colombian ladies - independently if you are LE members  or NOT you can participate anytime(so this was not advertising, ok ?)

I'm sure if you want to ask Margareth some of those questions, she is still reading this board and will respond.  She was not run off the board.

I don't feel LE was treated unfairly at all during the last threads.  If you go back in the archives and read my trip reports, you will see that I was really a pretty happy customer and have always reccomended that guys stop buy LE and check it out.  I found my wife at LE, we are happy, and the entire staff treated me really well.  Overall she runs a good operation and many, many guys have found their happiness at LE.

Things went downhill fast after we decided to get married, and we began to plan the wedding.  I simply wanted a price list of our options so that we could make a decision on how to proceed.  We couldn't get a fixed price committment, and we were only going to invite 15 people, so my wife and her best friend decided to plan the wedding without Margareths help.  That is when Margareth got angry...  Margareth controls her business and her girls pretty tightly, and when my wife wanted to break us away from the agency agenda, it caused friction.   I considered Margareth a friend, and  really was sad that things got so uncomfortable that my wife didn't want her at our wedding.  Really no big deal.

Then a year later, my wife's good friend hears Margareth saying unkind things about my wife at the agency and spreading false rumors that got all the way back to my wife's university.  My wife's reputation is very important to her, and she got very, very upset that she wasn't there to even defend herself.  Now if you knew my wife you would laugh at anything unkind said about her.  When I met her she was doing regular volunteer work at the orphanages with her uncle the Catholic bishop who was later murdered.  This is really a kind hearted person.

So my wrath was a reaction of defense for my wife.  It was a little petty, but any guy would get angry in the same situation.  

The fact is that when things are said, sometimes they travel around this small world.  It's a lesson that some people learn late in life.

      Yes, you are right by stating it isn't that often that an owner of a major agency in Cali stops by. "Especially one as highly regarded as Margareth at LE", this however is your opinion and purely subjective.  I do not know Wayne personally but he strikes me as a fellow that gives good, logical advice most of the time.  The type of fellow most of us would benefit from his no-B.S. no-nonsense, straightforward, and frank advice that sometimes our pride and chauvanistic inclinations seem to get in the way.  I believe Wayne when he recounts stories of Margareth trying to persuade him and his future wife of "borderline" forcing them into some business transaction in which they numerously and sincerely turn her down (reminds me of some acne-riddled teenager trying for half an hour of convincing me to purchase an "extended warranty" for a T.V.). Why do I believe Wayne??? Well because Wayne strikes me as honest but also I know how SOME, SOME, SOME, SOME of my Colombians can be, and it would not surprise me if Margareth's demeanor reflects a very greedy, shady, opportunistic attitude in her part AFTER she has seen a match via her agency. Business is business as usual?---no, call me naiive but I am still one of those customers who expect the most important part of a business is a customer's satisfaction, and the customer is always right.  I believe we as Americans place ourselves here in the U.S. and oversees as easy prey for businesses.  We as Americans love our business trasactions fast, efficient and convenient. Well my friend we pay dearly for this. I believe we should research and question any business transaction over $50 dollars. Yes, we will never be immune from shady business practices but at least we can have a fighting chance.----God Bless---Colman

I thought in one of her posts she did offer a weekly rate which turned out to be the same as a years membership or something like that.
