Traveling to Cali in December

I made my reservations to go to Cali this December for the entire month. 35 thousand frequent flyer miles on American Airlines. December is vacation time in latin america. I am woried that I have chosen a bad time to go since every one has left town on vacation (a lot of Colombians go to Miami then).

Can I get any opinions if December is a good time to go?

I wonder why they charged you 35,000 miles. They docked me just 30,000 St. Louis to Cali. Maybe for being high season. I visited agencies in Cali during the Christmas holiday and it's true there were a few girls I wanted to meet who were away. In Cali they might go out to a finca for the week or two if not to a more glamorous destination but most are available. Since you'll be there from the beginning of December you may get to know one well enough that you'll be invited to the finca too.

On American Air it is 30K miles for low season and 35K miles for high season. December is High season.
I hope I can meet a lady who will invite me to a finca that way I can get to know her better by seeing how she interacts with her family not just with me on a date.

I think it starts to be a bad time from shortly before Christmas to maybe a week after New years.I was there December 2-20 my first trip,no problem.The more upper class or professionals may travel to the beach then(more likely in Bogota),but most girls just spend more time with the family.I think your OK untill December 20 or so,it may get a little harder to connect after that but not impossible.If you go in early December good chance you will have a novia who will want to take you along to family events by Christmas.
