Cali guys impression of Bogota women

In my post below I mentioned my brother in law went to Bogota from Cali to try to get a tourist visa at the US embassy,which of course he did not get.I could have told him that,did tell his sister that.
Anyway,Giovanni,my brother in law,had a definite and unflattering impression of Bogota women.He said they were very ugly,were short,white skinned,black hair,no pompies(butt)and had a face like a plate(round I guess).Of course he didn't see them all,just a quick impression.I know for sure they have some georgeous women there because I have seen them on their TV programs(and of course anybody heres wife or novia).Guess those actresses could have come from Cali.
After that some of you guys probably don't have too much sympathy for him getting jerked around and turned down at the embassy.
Is there really an attractiveness difference between Bogota and Cali?Every guy I've talked to who went both places says yes,Cali women are much better looking,plus more friendly and outgoing.
Just what I heard,don't shoot the messenger.Yes I know I didn't have to say it.

Pete - I think some of this is a regional thing where the people from Cali do not have much good to say about people from Bogotá and vice versa.  Kind of like a San Francisco versus LA rivalry.  Having grown up in the Bay Area I still have a healthy pathological hatred of Dodger blue and don't like the Rams even if they moved to St. Louis.

I have gone a tour years ago to Bogotá and saw about 400 women.  There were some beauties in there.  I met a couple of them and they were pretty sophisticated with their family having dinero and tourist visas, no english skills though.  Those two were a little too much like AW for me.  I ended up meeting and starting a good relationship with one woman.  The city has somewhere around 8 million people so there is a large population to draw upon.  You can find all colors from light to dark skinned latinas. As a rule they do dress more conservatively due to the climate.  Not as much cleavage and tight chlothes.  I remember one girl was dressed like this at the party and a woman friend I had from Bogotá saw her and said that she was dressed more appropriately for Cali.  I think you can find just about any type of girl there.

My vote is still with Cali though.  For a city that size to have so many beautiful women.

I sence sort of a rivalry also.My wife does not like Bogota at all.We were there several days going to the embassy.Mostly the weather was good but 2 days there was huge rain,water a foot deep in the streets.I forget all the comments but a negative attitude about Bogota for sure.Of course she loves Cali.

more businesslike than cali, but I felt that a girl from cali would just about marry any guy that they met, where the girls that I met in Bogotá wanted to make sure that a man had a good job and wasn’t a freak. So many guys that I met in Cali were so off the wall. it was amazing the girls from Cali were settling for them. Then it hit me, most of the women couldn’t understand English and the men hardly knew more than four words in Spanish. they had no idea what the true character of these men were and they had no real idea of what most were saying, and believe me, the words that were coming out of their mouths would have made most girls walk away. to each his own i guess.

With the name Bogota Vet I thought you might be offended by that post.Actually thats the whole story.I have no real experience with Bogota.I was there a few days after I was married.The ladies at the hotel check in looked fine and spoke good english.I do have a positive bias for Cali but I am really comparing it with second hand stories of other places.The only other thing I can say is Giovanni's description somewhat fit one of my friends from Bogota(not ugly though).Of course this is a guy who lives full time in what just might be the beauty Capitol of the world.
He might be a tad spoiled.

Can't think of too much else about Giovanni right now.I told my wife  should have told the lady at the embassy"what do you mean I don't have anything here?I got a mama who takes care of me.Free room and board.Does your mama take care of you?"
He is 30 years old,a nice guy but not too motivated.He is supposedly a mechanical engineer but he hasn't worked at that in 4-5 years.He has had odd jobs and now helps the family with the nursery(plants) business.He has 2 children,one by an ex wife and one by a girl friend.The ex wife married a guy from Canada and took the kid out of the country without his permission.When My wife went there Christmas she went and got his little daughter and brought her over and said this is your daughter,you need to spend time with her and you need to help her mother,which he is trying to do now.
I bought them a computer which he loves to play on but the phone co.charges per miniute for local calls so  internet time costs money and the phone bill gets run up a he gets in trouble.
He wants to come to the states to work.He says its impossible to get a job in Cali.After the daughter thing he tried some more and just got turned down everywhere.
Actually they are a very good family and I am glad to have them be part of my life and glad I am able to help them.I've been pretty lucky.Dammed lucky actually to have had the opportunities that I have had here.It doesn't hurt for me to give back a little.

Well they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so everybody is going to have a different opinion.  I personally don't like big butts, and do like pale skin.  In fact I really only like more European looking women (as opposed to more Indian looking), which Bogota seems to have a lot of.  Since I haven't been to Cali, I don't have any first hand experience there, however I was looking at Latin Intros (LI) picture gallery yesterday, which includes pictures of girls from Medelin and Cali as well as some of Latin American Intros (LAI) Bogota girls I have met (so I know how the pictures compare to what the girls really look like) and I prefer the look of the Bogota women WAY more than those of Cali or Medelin.

I would say that Bogota women are not that particularly friendly however.  Every girl I had a date with required a lot of work on my part to get to know (which is part of the reason I dated Martha despite the red flags).  They didn't extend themselves very far at all to get to know me.  Sounds like the Cali women are probably much more outgoing and friendly.

I don't really notice much difference looking at web sites between Bogota and Cali women.Guys say they tend to be older in Bogota.Actually they mean at the agencies,there are of course younger ones there,they just don't seem to be the overwhelming numbers like Cali where the average age is probably 24 or something like that.Actually I think older women are a better bet than younger ones.
My 2 friends who just went to Bogota went there because they wanted to meet women who speak english.Well they both met women and neither one speaks english anyway.
As for physical types I like nicely shaped hips on a woman.Its my number one attraction.I guess I am what you call a butt man.And I found what I was looking for.Nice to look at,better to hold.As to skin color I like a tanned skin looking woman.I just went to pick up sandwitches and walked by a tanning booth place.My wife looks like that naturally,no rays needed.
I think the agencies in Cali do draw a younger group of women,but that is good even if you are looking for an older woman because most guys will be chasing the younger ones and you can have the older ones to yourself.When I met my wife she was 33,and beautifull in my opinion,with those mentioned preffered charicteristics.She had been at the agency 6 months and I was her first interview.So you can see she was not spoiled at all and also happens to be a very good person.
The other advantage to Cali is not only did I get the good weather when I met her but I will get it every time we travel there,which is at least once a year.
One of my friends was over last Saturday.He went to Bogota twice,then to Cali,where he went many times before finally choosing a wife,and that was not for lack of candidates but joy of shopping .He has been other places,including the Philipeans.He said that Cali women were absolutely the best looking women he had ever seen anywhere and thinks they could not be better anywhere else.
Of course to each his own.If you want tall ,white and Blonde you can go to Russia and also get no values and no hesitation to use you for all they can get in the process.
Wayne makes a good point about the weather in Cali causing women to stay in shape.You can't hide much under skimpy clothing.No full figured womens shops there.You full figured,you gordo.And yes beauty is in the eye of the beholder.For this beholder its Cali hands down.

We obviously spent  a good amount of time in Bogota doing the Embassy dance.

My wife constantly was amazed at how fat the Bogota women were.  She also thought that people from Bogota were much less friendly.

The climate in Bogota doesn't encourage the sexy dress like Cali does.  The girls have to stay thin because of the skimpy clothes they all wear.

Bogota is cold and they are all covered up.
