concerning Avianca

D@mn, when I researched Avianca having been established in 1919, a time when most people in the world were still using a hole in the ground or odd house,it just amazed me and made me a little proud, (I always root for the underdog). Yes Avianca, as with ALL other Latin American airlines pale in comparisonn with the U.S. airlines concerning service, customs etc...(except food-lol) anyway I hope that they do improve and trust they will. It will take time, ACES has a good reputation and I hope ALL Latin American airlines improve.

I wouldn't bet on Avianca improving anytime soon. I have been traveling to Colombia for 20+ years, and nothing has changed with Avianca except that they get worse every year. Hopefully they won't drag ACES down too bad now that they are one.

Fond memories for me. The service, food, film & flight attendants! Don't forget the single class seating, with more leg room. I would still be using them, but it's just cheaper & more convient to use AA.

Howard,
For me its time.If I fly ACES I have to stay over in Miami going down.
But ACES has absolutely the best coach service I ever had.I bet it compares with Americans first class.Wasn't quite up to United first class 747 service.
