Dude do you live in Chicago. Last time I check Chicago to northern Mexican cities was at least 400-450 price range with at least 3 week notice. What would be typically off season in Mexico? If you can really go to Mexico for a r/t price of 250 I would appreciate your travel agent's info, thanks--Colman

Chicago to Guadalajara right now is $331 on ATA if you go to yahoo travel and look at the travel specials. The off season is generally September-March. I look for specials on yahoo travel always. When I went to yahoo travel in March I booked a flight for $260 on ATA and last time I flew it was the off season and I got a ticket for $360 on America West and this was 3 weeks ago to go take my novia back home with me. You have to look carefully for the specials. I do not live in Chicago, I live in Detroit but I generally will drive to Chicago. It is roughly a 3 hour drive for me.

Well, in Detroit NWA has got you screwed with 80% plus of the gates - just like in Mpls.  But at least Cleveland and Chicago are alternate airports for you.  No such luck in the great white North.  Man, I wish Southwest would come here!
