Asian Women in South America????

I read some past Posts that Asian women are in South America. Do the Asians join the Agencies? What do You know about them living in SA? And what locations? Also what can you say about the Indian Ladies? I hope to travel there sometime soon, trying to do my homework lol. Thanks, greg

A lot of Japanese immigrated to Peru. A lot of Chinese imigrated to Jamaica as contract labor a long time ago and I assume they also went to other countries for the same reason. As you remember many Chinese came to the US for the same reason a long time ago. Several years back many asians were forced to flee Jamaica due to harassment and threats from other ethnic groups.

Yes, in Brazil, since they had liberal immigration in the past.

I see people that look distinctly Asian in the city where I am living (Belem). There's a chain of grocery stores in the city run by the Yamada's (Japanese) and I live two blocks from a Japanese restaurant (Miyako) which also has a restaurant in Rio. I'm not sure about the numbers for demographics, but I would guess it is third behind Europe and Africa. It's much more of a melting pot down here than in the US (my opinion), but I'd be surprised if you went to the mall down here and didn't see someone that had distinctive characteristics.

The people from Asia seem to be Japanese or Chinese, but I really cannot say for sure. They don't really have agencies here, that I know of. If you want to see the look of a variety of typical Brazilian women you can meet through correspondence, you might want to try LatinEuro.com. They have a couple other domain names, but I think that one might get you their main site rather than a single country only. I think they are mainly oriented towards Brazil and you will see that in their numbers. Also, not wanting to start an argument with our comrades on the Asian board, but I think you will find that the women in Brazil generally have a few more curves.

If you are thinking of making plans for the sole purpose of meeting Asian women, I would say it is possible but not so likely that you would be able to meet a number of women of Asian decent here. Just my opinion, and hopefully some of the other people who have visited Brazil will post theirs.

Also, doesn't the PI have some diversity of national origins? I thought there was some Chinese and Spanish there, but really I don't know more than have a vague idea about that.

I do know that there are some Philippine businesses with tie-ups in Brazil so there must be Filipinos there too.
The Philippines was discovered by Spain and before that the Filipinos were doing business with Chinese traders. There are lots of Filipinos of Spanish, Chinese, Japanese and German descent.
