Call it what it is

Theres always alot of discussion on here about the motivations of Women down south marrying an american. Women there only want a man for the life he can provide yada, yada, yada. Brace yourself fellas women in the states look for what a man can provide also. Its real simple Men value a womans beauty and women value what a man can provide. I thought this was Life 101.  Why do you never see an ugly arse celebrity guy with an ugly arse woman? Because he has a good heart? Of course a sincere man/woman will look past the beauty/money once they get to know the person but beleive me its one of the biggest factors ALWAYS. The only reason its not more evident here in the states is because you would  have to make a substancial amount of money to attract a really beautiful woman here with your lifestyle because we have such a high standard of living. Down south we are rich compared to them. Do you think the average american woman would find you more attractive if you made 5xs what she makes? 10xs?
I knew this guy in High school/college real nice guy but kind of a geek and women would not even glance at him. About 4 years ago he made a cool mill of an internet startup.  Well I ran into him awhile ago and he had one of the most gorgeous girls Ive ever seen on his arm. Do the math.
This is the bottom line a huge factor in what women look for in a man is the kind of life he can provide and men look for as beautiful a woman as they can possibly get. When it becomes shallow/insincere is when this is the ONLY factor they look for in a partner. If you have half a sense of intelligence you can easily tell who is sincere when you go south. Of course they are attracted to a better life just as you are attracted to there beauty. But with a sincere girl this is just going to open the door. If she is sincere she will like or dislike you based on you. When I was there I met a girl who was beautiful and very interested in meeting me. When we didnt have chemistry I found out real quick that with a sincere girl if she aint feelin you it dont matter if Bill Gates is your uncle. The woman Im with now of course I was attracted by her beauty but thats a dime a dozen down there it took all the rest to make it right. So anyway if you keep obsessing about whether the woman wants you for just a better life maybe this isnt the thing for you. You can be with an american woman who doesent care if you have no money and cant provide for her. Yeah Right LOL

Stezo,

It still sometimes amazes me when people that have grown up in this country/society make remarks about South American women, as if US women aren't preoccupied with a "better life" as a significant factor in their mate search.

Lest we not forget two common mantras in MANY AW circles:

"It's as easy to marry a rich man, as a poor man"(as if)

"No Romance, without Finance"

Well, although I think you might get some negative comments, I basically agree. Since the "cave man" days, women want safety and stability (at least when they want a family). As you say, there's nothing wrong with this as long as that's not the only reason for the union. Good luck to all...............Canadian.
