Most of you guys who have dated american women probably have experienced ones who are devoted to their usually obnoxious cats.To me it just seemed to be a woman thing,women like cats,most guys don't or are indifferent.
I was surprised to discover my wife does not like cats.She said she had wanted to be a veternarian.I said you would have to treat cats also.She said if someone brought her a cat it would die.So forget being a vet in the US,you got to play up to cat owners,probably 30-40% of the business.Speaking of playing up our female vet actually gives our golden retriever a kiss on the mouth when we take him in.She knows where the $ are.
My wife has had this war with the neighbors cats.They like to s--t in her flower beds and she takes it over and puts it in the neighbors yard.She has taught our golden retriever,who loves everyone including the mail man,to chase cats.She makes cat sounds and he barks and goes to the back door.She was watching animal planet yesterday,there was a cat on there that made cat noises and our dog ran to the back door barking.
I always thought she was unusual for a woman in this regard.Yesterday we were talking and I find out Colombians don't like cats.Its not just her its cultural.I never did see a cat in Colombia so that made sence.She says they are thought of as evil creatures.(I'm sure there are exceptions).
So for any of you guys who have suffered through a AW cat situation,there is hope.I used to have a girl friend who loved cats.About 20 years ago 2 books came out,"the I hate cats book" and "101 uses for a dead cat."I bought both and would read them and laugh my a-- off.She would get pi---d at me.
I need to see if I can find those books in the garage,I think my wife would find them funny.
My appologies to male cat lovers,I know you exist although you are a rare breed.
