THE TRIP HOME TO CALI
--------------------------------
Well this is one of my all time favorites. We put her on the plane to go home to Cali. The plane is going from Dallas to Orlando, Orlando to Miami, and Miami to Cali. Well the plane gets to Orlando and gets mechanical problems so it misses going on to Miami. So good old AA puts her up in a hotel and she is suppose to continue on the next day. Well she has a half sister who happens to live in Orlando with her mom and gringo husband. She calls up and the mom (another Cali girl) tells her “why don’t you stay over and we’ll all go to Disney world and the beach, etc. So she calls mom and asks if she can. Mom says no you need to go on to Cali. For one reason the whole reason she is going is to go to Cali, two she is suppose to only have two weeks remember, three mom doesn’t particularly like nor trust her daughter with this woman. Well our little angel decides the hell with what mom says and with the help of the other Calena changes her ticked for 3 days later and goes to Disney world and the beach anyway. Can you see my blood pressure at about 600 over 200 now? You betcha. Well three days later she does indeed get on the plane and head back to Cali. In the car home she is telling dad how she was held prisoner in a Saigon prison camp (better known as our home) for five months and she just wants to kiss the ground in Cali and eat Colombian food.
THE ARRIVAL IN CALI
--------------------------------
Now we can’t forget dear old dad in our story here either. Every time she did not like something she would call and cry to dad and he is saying oh poor you, oh dear me. Dad knows that it is 99.9% BS but at this point dad still wants her to think that the Sun and the Moon revolve around him (remember the wonderful dad!). So she gets back to Cali, she decides to stay. Okay I know you’re as shocked as I was right? She is now living with Dad, not going to school, spending 24/7 with the boyfriend. Now dad and his girlfriend are starting to have problems because of her, the girlfriend moves out and says she isn’t coming back as long as the kid is living there. Dad and her start going round and round with all of the same problems that we were having. Dad and her start arguing like cats and dogs.
THE TIME IN CALI
--------------------------------
Well this entire time mom is on the phone trying to convince her to come back. Me; I am kind of happy to tell the truth. We actually have peace and happiness for the first time since her arrival in the United States. Well it takes dad all of about 3 weeks to decide that he has in fact had enough of her and that he is going to ship her back to mom. Now remember all of the problems were because of our terribly harsh rules she had to live with day-to-day. She did actually get a job in a factory that lasted 2 days. She decided that it was too hard of work for 220,000 pesos per month for 9 hours a day. She had to take a bus a long way. Oh my gosh how many Cali people would kill to have a job? Well I guess dad gets fed up with her partying all night, sleeping all day, and with the boyfriend or on the telephone the rest of the time. It kind of hit the fan when for 3 days someone tried to call him for business and she was on the phone and they could not get thru and he lost business because of it. Well good old dad tells mom that if she doesn’t come back here he can’t be responsible for her anymore. Well dad says that he is not giving her a peso to ride the bus, go to school, buy clothes and doesn’t care if she sleeps at home or comes home at all (I know I am doing the paperwork for father of the year. Like everything else you send it to a Cali official with a 200,000 peso bribe and it gets done in 6 months, story to continue).
