I apologize for taking up more space, I should of remembered to add this to my prior post.

Jim, here goes: do you know of any other latin site/forum that is a bit more honest and factual? I can't 'stomach' any more questions like the "which city has prettier woman, Bogota or Cali" example. There has to be another site out there for those of us who truly understand women (Remember, women are women whatever country their from) and have been to Colombia already. Another thing, isn't it odd to read some of the posts from the veterans when they dispense their suggestions? I've been to Bogota and judging from what I read, I must have been in Manilla.

I cannot think of a better site than this. Gringos has all the crazies. and lwl gets more philosophical. Patrick keeps the insanity to a minimum here. A crazy, now and then, keeps things interesting. After all it is the nature of these lists that most of us are a little neurotic. There are those who post just to hear themselves speak and those who want to help, but not make a career of it. If you try to talk without honest experience you will be caught and exposed on this list. We do not suffer fools, racists or chauvenists.
  If anyone is truely interested in information it is here and the moderator is honest and knowledgable. I tend to rant now and again, usually about the imaturity and denial some of our posters exhibit. I just feel someone has to speak directly as sort of a slap.("snap out of it") Over all this list is very moderate and even when we had volatile members every thing was well intentioned. There are veterans and there are veterans.  The process is to listen to everyone and make up your own mind, thats why we have disagreements . If we only had agreements there would be no reason to speak with each other.  JIM C

i agree with you jim c. gringos has gone way down hill in the last year or so, they have fewer and fewer posters now and at the same time this board continues to grow. if you are looking for useful information this is the place to be.

There are a couple of sites that you can go to, but I don't have information about them. I just read this site.

If you would like more information, you should be more specific with particular questions and topics for discussion. Someone from the audience will come across your comments, and provide some feedback.

Another point, most of what I have learned about Latinas, especially Colombianas, hasn't come from this board, but from personal experience, as well as from close friendships with Latinos here in the states.
