What's up with you Patrick?

What's your deal with aggressively deleting posts these days?  

Double standards maybe?  I mean, you kick some people off while letting this Marie chick (or man) publicly slander a member of this board, and then let it go cuz she apologizes? Oh yea, it was all because she didn't have command of the english language...yeah right!  She seems to post in pretty good english to me.  That's just one example.

Boy, I'm sure glad you are here to filter out all the info for me...I'm only 33 years old.  I don't know how I ever made it in this country of free speech without you.  Oh yeah, this is your board that you absolutely derive no benefit from...you just do it out of the kindness of your heart.  We support this 'business' by page hits or whatever you use to market...And if you don't make in money here by promoting agencies or advertisements, then I suggest you find a new hobby, cuz this one has consumed you...

Weak...very weak.

It is pretty safe to assume you are venting on Patrick because HD is gone.  Everyone realizes that.  You are a friend to HD and it is noble to to want to help and be a good friend.  Sometimes friends cannot save friends from their self destructive behavior.

You probably do not want to hear my opinion but I think that Patrick was more than fair with HD and patient with him for a long, long time.  He took some heat for it and he was tolerant with HD. I think he has the right touch for what to allow and not to allow.  PL is by far the most popular discussion board because of Patrick and his format.

As far as the insurance thread not attracting the attention that the Marie thread did.  The insurance thread while definitely important, was more in the line of a routine thread that we deal with here day to day.  The Marie thread was unusual because we do not usually get latina ladies coming here to complain about a particular person.. It had "drama". Certainly PL does not come across many women like Marie.  She is a character for sure.  I tried to hint at that when I told her in my response to her that she has a "mercurial personality" so people might get a little idea about her.  She is an intelligent lady that changes from day to day with her "mercurial personality".  She has been keeping Hamlet on his toes to say the least.  You have hinted or stated that you do not think she is a real woman, but believe me she is.  She lives in some city outside of Panama City.  Hamlet would know the city.

Mike - feel free to vent on me, also anyone else that is upset at HD leaving.  I do not think it is fair to blame Patrick.  Mike - I think you should reconsider about signing off from PL and continue to post. You have posted and shared good information and people would miss you.

I will be around today if you want to vent on me.

I'm not sure if you're complaining about my deleting her entire thread, or about letting her post it in the first place, but I assume the real reason you're angry is because Houndog was banned.  I sent an email to the address he had listed in his profile, but there's been no reply.

I let him go on for a very long time here because he respects the ladies and is not one of the many "players" who have no intention of ever marrying who travel to S.A. simply to try to get lucky.  He was just too belligerent though and created fights with people, many times for no reason.  Thgat makes my job (which, despite your imagination, really is unpaid when it comes to running these boards) much more difficult.

I wouldn't want your job Patrick, one group of people want you to be tougher in how you control YOUR board and another group want you to do absolutely nothing. It's a no - win situation and I'm a bit surprised by the naysayers reactions.

On the issue of Houndog, despite frequently battling with him on a variety of topics, I'm going to miss him. I think he is certainly disruptive at times,  to the point of being down right OBNOXIOUS but nevertheless I like his passion and zeil.  

He's become somewhat of an icon on the board and I think some people drop in to see what outrageous things he may be up to.  It's a love/hate relationship for many and no one is ever indifferent about the DOG.  The funny thing is that detractors and followers alike, everyone reads HD's posts, so much for the frequently cited delete key.

Anyway, I hope the DOG will be able to return someday.
