I've learned

I think some of you on the board have taken what I have said wrong. I tell my story (and it's far from over) because I want you all to know of MY experiences with finding a wife in Cali, Colombia. It is not a bash Johanna story and poor H2-Oh, it's a these are the facts and you can come to your own conclusions. Johanna is a product of very bad parents, but that does not excuse her cheating and not telling me the truth. I feel sorry for her.
   What I've learned so far is that if you come to Colombia to find a wife, it will take more work then a wife in the states. The language barrier and different customs, the different life style. These are all the extra things that are added when you marry a Colombiana. It is hard,very hard and you will have to work harder and make many adjust to make the marriage work. If you are able to find Her, you will have a treasure that will be your life long companion.
   Johanna has this last week been trying to find me and find out when I will be in Colombia. She knows she messed up and wants another chance. It won't happen with me. Once a cheater, always a cheater. I know that she is planning to crash a wedding that I will be at in Aug. I've also learned that I won't give this chica a second chance.

I agree with your comment "once a cheater always a cheater."  About a year after my Latina C went back to Lima, Peru I received a call from her totally out of the blue.  She was living on the east coast of the U.S. near a military base with a guy in the active military.  She had completely duplicated the situation that she had with me.  Their relationship wasn't heading towards the right destination like ours didn't and she was bored and had some problems. She detailed a long story about how she had teamed up with another Latina and were hitting the clubs. So I asked for the punchline, "C why are you calling me, what do you want with  me?" She said "I need money....$1,2oo."  I asked how she planned to pay me back.  She said, "remember that beautiful dog you bought me?  Well I will arrange to breed it and then sell the puppies!  Then you'll have your money!!" I thought, "oh great my future loan payback is tied up with that  dog.."  I told her that I needed time to process this.  After getting off the phone I realized that it's true, I have a sign on my forehead that reads, "I AM AN IDIOT..PLEASE ABUSE."  Wondering if her parents in Lima were aware that she was calling me I placed a call to them.  They were not friendly to me but were very interested and disappointed in their daughter's calls because they knew she was a rascal living with this poor unwitting military guy.  They told me not to talk to C again, to which I agreed. I never heard from C again.

We do appreciate your honesty. I am amazed at how you allowed yourself to be used, especially since there are frequent warnings on this board about that. Especially amazed at how much money you threw at her. If you believe that "she knows she messed up and wants me back, it could be she just wants to ride the gravy train a little longer.
