Hey Guys,

I just got through reading a facinating book about Colombia called "Killing Pablo".  It presents quite a story about the rise and fall of Pablo Escobar.  It has lots of interesting information about the many tragic events that lead to the killing of the narco king.  It is a good read to fill in your background about the political mess in Colombia and how much the US govnernment has been involved in Colombian politics.

CNN had an hour show on it a week ago.

Bottom line was we put all our marbles into taking this guy out. For what? The greatest beneficiaries were the Cali cartel, and whoever else runs the business now.

Garcia Marquez wrote a book about this subject called News of a Kidnapping. Check it out.
