Hi everyone,

Just a quick update on things.

I will be travelling to Brazil in July for 3 weeks to meet a woman that I have been corresponding with since March.

The main advice I can offer from my experience so far, is be very aware of when things are moving from momentum vs decision making.  I would suggest putting the stall to any momentum and only move ahead if you decide to.

For the people that like numbers..
30 addresses producing 6 responses.
Of the 6, 3 were too difficult to communicate with, and we faded after the first week or so. 1 was a decent communicator, but no sense of interest, faded after about 3 weeks.  1 was (I'm not sure who invented this phrase, but seems very apt) a chicken head, I recieved all sorts of bizzare email attachments, and some wierd game playing correspondence, before I stopped replying after stating I was no longer interested.  She continued to send the wierd letters and attachments for another 2 weeks, stopped for 2 weeks, then sent me a couple computer viruses (which I caught prior to opening, of course).  No further correspondence.  The other response, which I am going to see in July, we email nearly everyday and talk on the phone every 2 weeks.

I contacted the company, via their website.

I contacted the people that I corresponded with by letter initially, even if they had a telephone or email listed.  I think letter is more personal.

I'll be there first week of August. It will be wintertime, so kind of dead, but if you are going to meet someone, you should have a great time! Enjoy!!

I'm going to Rio on business. Big Broadcasters show. It was held in Sao Paulo last year. Then in September, I have a similar event in Buenos Aires.

If you are going down to meet women you have been corresponding with, you will still have a great time. Sao Paulo, has some great nightlife as well.

There is a Churrascaria called Barbacoa, that is Phenomenal, in Rio try Porcao.

Sure. In Sao Paulo, there are no beaches, unless you drive about an hour, Sao Paulo has some great night clubs and restaurants. There was also a HUGE Music festival last August out in the country.

Also sometimes called Rodizio, is a Brazilian Barbecue.
They cook between 10-15 types of meat on skewers. Then they come to your table one skewer at a time, and carve off, as much as you would like.

It is basically an endless parade of MEAT! Once you have sampled all the different types, you let them know what you like the best, and they will keep bringing you as much as you can eat.

Most major cities, in the states have at least one. Heck, I passed three on one major road in Houston. If ya like meat, you have to try it at least once. If you are a vegetarian. . . . . . . .skip it;-)

I'm going to Belém, which is at the mouth of the Amazon, in the northern part of Brazil.

Sounds like things are going well for you.  Do you mind if I ask, are you corresponding by email or letter?
