Outlaw,

We're neighbors and didn't even realize it!  I live in Westland.  Small world, eh?

There is a Filipino Food store.  Yes that's right.  FILIPINO!  On Ford Road and Middlebelt.  North side of Ford, just West of Middlebelt.  It's called Westside Foods, I believe.  The phone number is 734-421-0019.  The owner, Alvie, is a darling.  Very, VERY nice people.  They have a whole Filipino network running out of there. They can hook you up with Filipino anything Wink  I warn you though, the movies are BORING oiiiiiii  I rcommend keeping your Mahal out of the video section Tongue  LOL

Good Luck Neighbor Smiley

Keep the Faith

Does your wife crave dried fish?If she crave your really in trouble.I'm sure you have asian store there. But too hard to find dried fish.Too bad I have no dried fish here I  eat them all already. If you want I have friend here who sell dried fish I can send this to you if you want to.I have secret in how the house will never stink after you fried dried fish.I sacrifice my hubby coffee put them in a pan with small water and boil it.Sure enough your house really smell good especially if the coffee have some flavor. Our house smell like hazelnut flavored coffee. Coffee is much effective than candles.Raquel

Hi Feb,

We cook the dried fish outside (Florida - year-round) on the side burner of our barbecue grill and let the neighbors enjoy the smell too. :8D I guess we're lucky, there is a whole aisle of many kinds of dried fish at the Asian market a block from our house.

I agree Dave!

Close all the windows and cook it outside. My wife uses an electric skillet on the patio. We don't have to worry about the neighbors because they're all Filipino :-)

You know Hum, I used to think that way also. My kids and I would really jump my ex’s arse if she cooked dried fish inside. My wife now is real good about cooking it outside, but if it’s raining or the weather is real cold, I’ll tell her to cook it inside the house.

Does it smell like crap? Yes!

Does it take 2 weeks to get the smell out of the house? Just about.

Have I smelled worse? Yes!

Does it smell worse than my boiled egg & refried bean farts? About the same.

But you know what? She is so happy when she is eating dried fish or dried squid. I consider dried fish as an investment. I figure if a little dried fish can make her happy, then I consider myself lucky. Dried fish is a whole lot cheaper than gold, diamonds, or expensive clothes. Do you know how many kilos of dried squid you can buy for the price of a good vacuum cleaner? Probably more than she could eat in 10 years (LOL!). Think about it Hum!

I figure the smell isn’t going to kill me and my wife is such a trooper when it comes to tolerating my rotten farts, so why complain and ruin all her fun? :-)

Hey Ray,

Farts aren't so bad either...IMHO there is nothing quite as bad as intestinal bile and liquid feces that pour onto you from people's open stomach wounds. I've thrown away good uniforms because I couldn't wash the stench out. Shocked(
