opinions from a post on the latin board

For those guys who are married to a filipina wife...I would like some feedback on the post below...please note that I did not write it..it came from the latin board concerning a discussion about filipina wives over latina wives....I am not trying to stir up any feathers here...just asking for feedback about your opinions about this post.

Have you ever been to the PI? How many filipinas have you met? In 20 years in the Navy I have probably been there 50 times. Living in San Diego, I deal with them almost daily. I like the filipino people but would rather drive a burning stake through my heart than marry one. I have seen so many young American sailors fall in love with a lady in PI, marry her and bring her back to the states only to have her leave for a filipino already here. I have seen such marriages be very successful but less than 10%. The filipino people are much less accepting of interracial marriages than latinos. Your filipina wife will be under incredible pressure from other filipinos to leave you and join her "own" people once she is here. Latinos are much more willing to assimilate with the general population than filipinos. If you would like to know what you are in for try becoming a part of the filipino community in a social setting. Be prepared to be completely ignored. You are not wanted there and if you have a filipina wife she will be ostrisized (sp) and you will be rejected completely. Filipinas with American husbands can only socialize with filipinas with American husbands. I wish you luck. You will need it regardless of where you look. It is not your money or citizenship that will ensure a successful relationship, its your heart. Put your heart on your sleeve and see who bites. Then you will know.

  I really do not know what it matters what anyone has to say on the latin
board... In fact I really do not thing it matters what it  on what someone
has to say on the eastern eur board. I like latins but I also like to read
what people have to say here because I do like filipinas too. If you
wanted to stir the pot you should have post your views over on the latin
board. One thing I do want to ask you where did you find that message I
looked and cannot find it?

Don't let anyone fool you.  You can find just as poor a choice in wife from the Philippines as you can from Latin America.  The responsibility is yours and yours alone.  If your reasons and expectations are realistic and honorable, you could probably find a good wife anywhere.  If they are not you can fail in many different languages.  There is no race of perfect wives.  There is no oasis of beautiful women waiting to bow to your every need.  There are only people.  Male people and female people.  Take the time to get to know some.  You might find the love of your life

Latin America is , i am sure, the same.

Lets generalize the Mexican women like this guy from the Latin board. (just for fun no offence intended) ;-)

I have seen so many young American sailors fall in love with a lady in Tijuana. Did you know many of the women work as prostitutes there. I can tell you how many young sailor boys go there for a night of fun and wind up marrying some large breasted Mexican hooker after a night of drinking.
Many of these women have sex with donkeys!

The Mexican people are much less accepting of interracial marriages than Filipino's. Your Mexican wife will be under incredible pressure from other wet backs to leave you and join her "own" people once she is here. They will need help with the drug smuggling and someone to cook up the crank to sell to the Gringo's.

I can't figure out why anyone would bring one here, hell we have plenty of them here already. They walk, swim, and crawl here by the thousands everyday. They even come here like cows pack in to the back of trucks and trains.

ROFLMAOCUMLPASIMMFP!!! Now that is probably closer to the truth! I think too many guys go to Latin America and Asia looking for an "exotic" wife, instead of a good one. Finding someone to marry is the easy part...finding a good woman takes the big head. Forget the tour and travel guide propaganda!
