Well, as you may remember, my last post was all doom and gloom about this past 5 years about this on and off pen pal route.

About two months ago, I was contacted by a gal who picture and description I was not too sure about.  The glam shot was nice...but...the likes to party line made me nervous.  Figured it would not go to far.

Heck, she's really nice, smart, and pretty.

I spoke to her the first time the other day and it went well.

Wow.

Anyway, I told her about this forum, but I do not know if she has read it.

Just an idea Jon, why tell her about this forum if you are  going to ask advice here about her later?   I think it a good idea to tell my fiancee in a later part of our relationship about this forum.   Now if you are not going to ask this forum for advice about her or you don't mind asking for advice as she listens in no worries mate.   For myself I value this forum and the advice thus given me.   I feel I got better advice without her knowing about it.  Anyway my .02cents
Wait till your a team!!

Am I wrong?

Peter,

The fact that someone's Mahal may read this board has never changed the advice we offer Smiley

Gerlie reads here often, but almost never posts.  It has no bearing on what I say or ask Smiley

Just wanted you to know that I always give it straight Smiley

Keep the Faith

I really don't care to hide anything from anyone.  I was curious to see what she thought of the forum, thats all.

So when you go to your attorney next time you can invite everyone along to see if they like him lol.  But then he wouldn't be your attorney anymore, he would be just a friend.   But you would at least know if they liked him.  Now sharring an attorney with a good friend whom you trust now that's another story.  Now if you really don't want to hide anything from anyone and you mean it I would like you to send me your savings account pin numbers so we can see what is in your account and how your business is going.   I would like to take away the burdon of having to hide anything from anyone.
But seriously I was thinking of giving some of the pinays the address of this forum.   But like you I was going to ask the  board if it was a wise thing to do as one of them was a subject of scamming.   I later rethought it and decided it would not be a reasonable thing to do.   The others whom I did not know that well could be potential scammers.  I would limit the knowledge of this forum to those that I knew well.

It is not politically correct to agree with this, that is why I posted it.

There may be many more ladies in the Philippines reading this forum than you would imagine.

This is a popular public forum, so I would never assume that what you are saying about someone will not reach their ears. Ask Bear... :-)

How are the wedding plans coming along?

True, true

But no pinays i contacted ever heard of this post.  I don't ask them with the specific name.  I use Asian forum.  But it seems that most are focused in putting energy to finding a good husband and time spent away from that seem to be wasted time for them.

I gues time will tell eh?

Exactly.  And I do not feel so insure that I need to have a special secret place to find out if she is messing with me.  Don't get me wrong, I don't have all the answers, but hey...

Hey Ray,

Many, many Filipinas read this forum in the Philippines and comments often get back to the person being talked about. M-A and P-L have even been used as "training grounds" for scammers to get a feel for what foreign guys are looking for in a woman and want to hear. I have read posts by bar owners complaining that many bargirls have left the business to pursue Internet relationships as a full time "job."

...on the Internet. Or can you???

I guess that has become a step up on the career ladder, from bar girl to Internet scammer. It's all Algore's fault! :-)

Personally, I have nothing against bar girls Tom. But it would be a shame if they all quit the bars for Internet scamming, wouldn't it? :-)

Hi Ray,

I think we should blame Algore too! LOL Oh well, I guess  it's better sending money to a woman whom you've never met with many "fiances," then sending it to a guy and thinking it's a woman. ROFLMAOPIMP! I wonder where they are going to import the new bargirls from? ;o)
