She called me today in a very upset mood because her family had used her ATM card to clean out her account. Apparantly she gave her family a card to the same account that she keeps all her money in. She did not tell me how much was in the account, but apparantly all the money is gone.
The reason she called me was to ask me to have a talk with her family when I arrive in the Phils, and explain to them that they should only withdraw the amount that she tells them to.
This is funny to me, while we were married, I was always the bad guy that had to set limits with her family. Now that we are divorced, I am still expected to be the strict, thrifty one :0)
Anyway, I do love her family very much, they have always been very kind to me. They were the ones that tried to warn me that the ex was sometimes very difficult to get along with. I guess I should have listened more to what her own family was telling me :0)
I am thinking the best thing for me to do is visit the family as planned, and just stay out of the whole money thing :0)
