this might sound strange but I'm 34 years old & most ladies I go out with HERE or in Mexico are 24 & under. For some reason or other many younger ladies like to go out with me. After my divorce I wondered if I'd ever find a date but luckily I had no problems however I felt odd that many of the ladies were so much younger. I guess I had a "taboo" thing with dating ladies much younger. So when I started going out I finally said what the heck. Well in Ukraine it doesn't seem much different. However lately I've had ladies in the late 20's or early 30's write which is cool. Anyways I just mention this because I know many people talk about the age difference etc. Perhaps it's my profession (I'm a musician) that draws the younger girls.

is... do we have a 'star' amongest us?

What is the name of your band, or solo gig?

Conservative muscians, in Southern Texas, sportin' leather are a rarity. Excuse me, I think: Derailers, Wayne H. or Junior B., when I think S. Texas.

-Vaughn (just goofin')

Ps. The 'new' Bissel plant - in Reynosa - is calling me.

'Bohemia,' dewd?

you coming to work over here? If you do we can have a pitcher of Indio beer at the Imperial. $7 & they treat me LIKE A KING!!! NO I'm not a star it's just the way I am. Maybe I never outgrew the 80's like my ex wife used to say but if you saw me with short hair you'd tell me to grow it again! LOL! Seriously if you start to work in Reynosa gimme a holler, I go there EVERY week for obviousl reasons.

Or, short hair? Ok - Rocker Frank... *smile*

Actually, I'm not moving to Reynosa nor Mc....., for that matter. I used to (still do) go to: Tijuana, Juarez, Matamoros, Reynosa,  Mexac... for my company (3M-pimps in manufacturing). Yes, with limited Espanol abilities; I know how to entertain, solve problems & click - what can I say? You sure wouldn't know that, from my communication on P-L. LOL

There's a few plants, Bissel for one, moving to Reynosa, so if I come down that way - I'll warn ya, and sport the cerveza. *wink*

What's up with 'new Spyke' calling you 'bearded Willie?'

What's the name of your band, mate?

I have the same problem.  I go to a bar today and still end up with girls below 25 - until I tell them I am 42.  If I keep my mouth shut I do fine.  As far as fsu women - if you are looking for a pretty girl without kids there are few of them past 25.  You have to look really hard and competition for them is keen.  You are young enough where you can easily find a super mature 21 or 22 year old girl from there.  If I were you thats where I would shoot for.

Yeah, I'm sort of in that ballpark. I'm shooting for no children under 25.

As I went through my twenties I sort of got stuck on nineteen year olds, but then I was always in the company of younger people generally, working, socializing with that age group, (I guess I had such a good time as a teenager I didn't want to leave it behind!).

Marriage at 27 to a (you guessed it) nineteen year old, that lasted until I was 32 ( I dunno, maybe she got too old for me, or more likely I was too immature for her:).

Back into the fray at 32 with a resolve that maybe I should be looking for someone nearer to my own age (27-32?). By default, women of this age and older, more often I found them to be carrying baggage from failed relationships and too often have a cynical attitude to men in general. Given that the older women become, fewer of them are available for dating due to them becoming married or whatever.

Let's face it, it becomes more difficult the older you become to find quality available women, it helps if we are blessed with good genes and a youthful appearence, conversational and social skills etc.

Once a 40 year old divorcee told me (five years ago, when I was 39) "you men have the best of it, you men age better than women, it's still possible for you to go out and find a young woman and build a family together, whereas I look forward to getting fatter, grey, wrinkly and the menopause" I guess she meant she didn't have a lot to offer a man anymore.

Me and my wife have a 17 year age difference, which I admit is pushing the limits a bit, what struck her as we became to know each other, was my youthful and open attitude comparing with Ukrainians of my age and younger.

looks like the Gunners gave given a licking to Man U. Good thing i have the BBC website to keep me informed. Beckham and others are running a bad steak after being beaten by Australia.

Now what's this about a 17 years difference. You might be charged with pedophilia by scotland yard. ( just kidding )

The game had a bit of a dirty start from all accounts, watch out for cup outsiders Crystal Palace from a lower division (playing Leeds later today (sunday)), been known to get all fired up after taking out one of the big teams.

Defeat to the Socceroos is nothing less than national disgrace!

Is it true that Beckham's mug is plastered all over US advertising cola and sunglasses? Does anybody there know who he is?

The Constabulary are busy investigating themselves after the FBI passed credit card details of users of some dodgey website in Texas, the number of rozzers involved in that is alarming.

BTW if you take into account mental capacity, then the age difference is nearer -10 Smiley

all the hispanics know him. Especially after he scored against Argentina in the World Cup. They also know Seaman.LOL. Beckham is big in Asia. I read Gazza couldn't even make a 2nd division Chinese team. Too bad for an ex-national hero.

I guess that has a lot do with it. Also I guess since I could pass for 24 it's great. A couple weeks ago I went out with a 19 year old a couple of times & she told me "I would not have believed you were 34 maybe 24". ONce again I guess the attitude we have has a lot more to do with it.

Yeah, some people are old when they're 30 others stay youthful until much later.

I noticed a big difference between people of my age here and those in Ukraine, firstly the drab colours and boring cloths everyman over 30 seems to wear over there, everybody over 30 so conservative and staid in outlook.

My wife often comments on this.

...women are, there's no accounting for their tastes. Many professions have "groupies", your's is but one of the better known. Mine too (I'm a bus driver ;-). In fact, not that many years ago it was standard practice for women in my profession to actively seek a husband within the ranks of their coworkers. The medical profession seems to have this too, as do others. (In my younger days I was in law enforcement and saw a lot of strange behavior in certain women, some of it downright bizzare.)

The difference between then and now is I've noticed younger women have different reasons for the attraction between the two vocations. Generally speaking, both involve a certain amount of bragging rights. The cop groupies were more interested in the perceived excitment and were more unstable and immature. (sound familar?) They tended to be less educated and a bit on the wild side. (I was younger then so that may skew my perceptions somewhat.)

The bus driver group seems to look at security, stability (yeah right, if they only knew), income, and free travel. They tend to be better educated and more stable. In other words they're two completely different sets of people in how the think and view life even though they're the same age. I'll bet the musician thing attracks a certain profile also. Course, this all applies to them before they get to know you as an individual and I'm speaking only of domestic women. I'm guessing your profession likely carries more "weight" in other countries as the appeal is universal. (I'm assuming you don't play a violin.)

There are other factors such as appearance (the uniform in both my examples is/was a plus with certain women), confidence, lifestyle, and how well you treat women in general. Or in their eyes you might be a "bad boy", some chicks really go for that while "nice guys" do well with other groups.

The bottom line is you should be happy you have this advantage but be careful it's not exploited. It's been my experience that many women (at least in the initial phase of a relationship) will do it in a heartbeat.
I've seen no difference in FSU woman in this regard. After all, some will simply exploit you for your passport.
