Anyone know (for sure) if a multiple entry visa is available for Russians?  My Mother in Law visited us last year and I am sure that another visa should be a snap for her, but I don't know if a  multiple entry visa is possible.  Thaks in advance.

It is of interest if this is true of Ukraine visitor visas as well.  If anyone has info on this, I'd be very interested.

from what I've heard that's what you are getting automatically at the Conculate now - multiple entry one year visa. It costs $100 now (instead of $65 single visa before), but they seem to be giving it to everybody now even if you don't ask for multiple-entry.

Ken,

That is something we are looking at.  As I understand it, B-2 (visitor) visas are now issued to be valid for either 1 or 2 years, and they are always multiple entry visas with no limit to how many entries can be made.  They certainly are available to Russians, but I'm not sure how easy it is for a Russian to obtain one.  Obviously, the applicant has to prove (to the satisfaction of the State Dept.) that he/she is not planning to immigrate while on that visa.

If anyone has any recent experience with these or any information that might suggest I'm incorrect, I'd certainly like to hear about it.  I'd also like to know what documents and information might improve the chance that one could obtain one of these visas.

Thanks,
Don

Don,
My Mother in Law got a visitor's visa last year no problem.  She had been out of the country a few times and always returned.  She also owns property and has a good government job.  I just didn't know if the visas were good for one visit or more.  She had spoken to the Embassy and they told her that the new visas were good for one year.  Now our question is if both Mother & Father in Law could be issued visas at the same time.  It would be great to have them here together.  Thanks for the info.
