... in response to Dan and Oscar, posted by Bobby Orr on Nov 9, 2002Here's the problem - when I see information from Oscar posted that I *know* to be inaccurate, I feel the need to set it straight. For that matter, the same applies to other posters and has been true on the entire time I've been on the board.
In the case below, Oscar betrays one of his underlying values that leads to many of the problems we witness.
Oscar says in a recent post, "I was asked a simple question by a guy who just got approved. Should I just tell him to take a hike?"
Taking the first part of the first sentence - Oscar is so full of himself that he honestly believes that a post on a public board was directed exclusively at HIM! It is a glimpse into his arrogance and piety.
In the second sentence, he poses a rhetorical questions - and yet, the truth is - he may as well have told the guy to take a hike because he NEVER ANSWERED THE QUESTION!
Hockeyguy, I wish I could agree not to answer any of Oscar's posts - but I cannot let misinformation that could be damaging to the guys in this pursuit let go unchecked.
BTW - Go AVS!!! --smile--
