a Ukrainian or Russian lady? I mean on this board or if you know someone who has actually succeeded in this? I"m just curious cause man things look pretty bleak & I'm not afraid man but I sure would like to know.

Russia and the Ukraine aren't the only countries with desirable ladies!  My beautiful wife is from Bulgaria and we're coming up on 7 months...a very quick and happy 7 months.

I was considering Bulgaria but had trouble with some of the agencies. How did you do it? ALso how old are you & your wife & how long did you correspond with each other? Also how many trips did you make? I don't mean to sound nosy I'm just trying to get as much info from people who have succeeded at this. Marriage is obviously THE most important relationship in our lives next to our relationship with God.

The success is NO better with a RW then a AW. My opinion is it is less than 50 % at best. Like most have said below, it's all up to you. If you take your time and try to play all your cards right, that's all you can ask for.

Most guys who end up with a favorable result have spend ALOT of time and money in their search.

Also success is not measured by finding a RW and bringing her here. I only know one couple who has past the 3 year mark!!!!! and a bunch who never made it close to that. There are many reasons, but most of them just did not use their head.

It seems I am missing some (apologies to those I may have missed), but these are the ones that come to mind at the moment.

As for "success" - others have already addressed the point that simply marrying someone from the FSU is NOT success in itself. It is the creation of a happy and fulfilling life together that represents "success" - at least, IMHO.

As I mentioned, there are a number of guys that I've exchanged e-mails with - and I've gotten to know them by their 'real' names instead of by their board handles. To preserve the integrity of their identities, if I could not recall their 'handle', I did not mention them in the list.

Still, it is a pretty significant list - don't you think???

Like Mark is saying below, this board seems to have a higher success rate that the 40 to 50% I would have estimated.  Really, we can only know the success rate by following the reltionship over a longer time frame than people tend to be involved with this board.  Still we have several people married for 1 to 2 years still reporting good relationships.  Dave the Kiwi reported in last spring and sounded quite satisfied.  

One of the Norwegian guys posted his pictures about 3 or 4 weeks back and he was a good looking man with a pretty hot wife.  The biggest surprise to me is that many of the men seeking foreign women are not bad looking guys at all.  

I don't remember if Deckard was on you list or not but he was another success until we hear otherwise.

I think that the list of successful marriages could be much longer than we might think.  I think however, that a lot of the guys just don't come around and post on the board much after they are married..  Like Rags for example.  He may drop in only once or twice a month, others I believe just quit coming completely, not because they are unhappy in their marriages but because they now have a very different and probably busier life being newly married and perhaps with a new adopted child or children on the way..  I think this would be pretty normal.  I think some guys see this board as a tool in their search for an FSU woman but once the search is over, perhaps they just don't see the need to continue, where other guys who marry may stay because they like the comraderie or helping newbies etc..  I'm not saying either is right or wrong, just the way it seems to be.

Yes... a very significant list.

I wonder... is the high success rate of this board because the men who read this board are better informed, and make better decisions?

Or because the marriages or engagements that ended badly garvaitate to the more vicious forums?
