Anyone have a good Nebraska contact number??

I am trying to call to find out some info as they have now had my petition for exactly 75 days.  I wanted to call and find out what dates they are working on etc..  I have tried the number on the front of my first NOA 402-323-7830 and get nothing but a busy signal..

If you call after 5 pm, you usually don't get a busy signal.  You don't get a live person either.  You get the automated system and can find out the status of your application (yes or no) -- you don't get an answer however concerning what date they are processing now or anything.

Took your advice and called at 10:45pm.  At least one positive note- The recording said that instead of taking from between 70-120 days, it now says cases are taking between 70-100 days.. Bonus!  LOL!

Keep hitting redial, the busy signal is normal, but once you get in you will get an agent right away.

BTW on Aug 24 they approved a I-129f with a 1st NOA date of April 24th. That is around 120 days. I am guessing you still have one month maybe two months left to wait.

There was 20 days that NSC did not process one singal app. Hopefully that will not happen again.

My info says they were processing as of Aug 13th, for petitions with a June 1 date.. so that puts it ahead of the dates you are suggesting.  This from that attorney that updates info on it.  Don't know which would be the more accurate.  His link is-

The updates you are seeing on his page are for I-129 and not I-129f. As of Aug 23 they approved one dated April 24th. This is confirmed. There are many people from April 25th until June 1st that have not recieved thier approval. That webpage is a great indicator and I use it myself, but it is not reporting the I-129f correctly, I am afraid.

You can get daily updates from others, from the newgroup.

Last few weeks there have been many heated discussions about the NSC wait times. For 20 days they did not work on any petitions, because they were upgrading a computer system. There are stories of the same guy calling twice in one day, talking to the same lady, and getting two different answers.

If you do not have a newsgroup reader, you can go to www.dejanews.com and read the newsgroup from there. Just do a search and locate it.

If it's like the office I called, you have to constantly hit the redial button to get through.  Sometimes it took me almost an hour of dialing.
