Because the untactful and demeaning responses, (by some of the members of this board) to my two post, I have decided that this forum is a waste of my time.  I have not encountered problems like this on any other discussion forum.  Some of the members here did have tactful informative things to say and to them, I am grateful.  Given the temperament of some of the members here, I have also concluded that some men who seek foreign women do so because they no American woman in her right mind would put up with them.  They have to resort to finding women who are desperate to come to the U.S.  Perhaps this is why INS says spousal abuse is very common in these marriages.  I just hope none of foreign women advertising on the net end up like that poor young Russian that Date Line TV report.  Adios!

BobbyOrr and MarkInTx please don’t go and make some poor Russian woman miserable and if one has already been fool enough to marry either one of you then give her a divorce!

... in response to Bye bye!, posted by KingC on Aug 10, 2002

I ask this question, because I read an earlier post of yours that said that you were not really serious about this venture.  It's important that if you are posting in any place, that you don't make other's feel that you are wasting their time.  I say this because it does take time and effort to respond and I saw that Jack was willing to give you an afternoon in his day.  It's not possible to walk away without feeling that you were given attention after such an offer.  Sure Jack has a business, but he also can offer guidance and sage advice for a person like yourself.  This process takes a thick skin and toughness to stick it out until married and even after marriage as you and your bride adjust to all the new changes.

Perhaps a couple of the responses to you were a bit critical, but the questions could have been interpreted as lacking thought.  You deserve your happiness and to win a woman created just for you.  I can say that women in the FSU are worth the effort, but you can't go at this process halfheartedly or without wisdom that comes from experience of many of the posters to this site.  Jack works hard to maintain credibility in his business and to help others find a compatible partner for life.  If I were in the looking stage, I would feel privileged to accept his offer and the lunch would be on me.  The second advantage he has, is that he has some gorgeous woman on his site who have been screened for sincerity.

Best of luck to you, but please know that your post about leaving does not need to be permanent and you are always welcome to post any time in the future.  All of us say things at times that we wish to retract and you can always come back.  I also must say that the postings here are much more friendly than in times past due to Patrick's cleanup of the trolls.

Although I have not communicated with Markintx directly, I have read his posts, beginning with his early experiences and trip reports to meet his fiancee.  He has provided great help for folks looking for help and his experience in finding his soulmate is priceless.  Some people are more frank than others, but sometimes we need people like this to help us process our thoughts.  Enough said..God Bless the U.S. Navy and of course my incredibly wonderful and precious gift who waits in Ukraine for me to bring her home to me next month.  Jim.

Jim,

I doubt that the guy was serious about any of this. He/she could have even been a troll. His comments here in his last post suggest that this may be true.

If this is not the case, he is pretty righteous (I mean even look at his handle) (I think I will change mine to God to one up him) in the sense that IF HE WERE TO GO BACK and
read his posts coupled with things such as his rejection of Jack's offer (what an incredible opportunity for someone interested) he should be able to see how he could be viewed as a troll.

His lack of willingness to see his role in generating those responses is very suggestive of the type of person he really is or what his true intent was. Then again, maybe he just does not have the grey matter to visualize more than one reality or possibility. He also could be so sensitive that he loses his cognitive power or simply defensive when challenged.  Who knows...

However, I would agree totally him that some posters were not diplomatic at all - in fact rude. However, on the other hand, he should have asked why the lack of diplomacy - if he really wanted to know - must not have been his interest which also suggests other reasons for being here. If he had asked, he would have realized that this forum has been plagued with trolls who look a lot like him when they enter. People naturally get sensitive to such. However, he was not interested in knowing about such.

Again, the sophisticated individual would have asked why the less than diplomatic welcome and awaited responses.

A less sophisticated person would not even think that there might be a reason and thus points the finger at others just as a primitive knee jerk response, not feeling the need to know any more. It would be typical for such a person to respond by attack just as a troll would do. This is how he decided to do it.

Ironically, he tried to act better than anyone and leave with one up-man-ship by putting most down but in doing so he left without honor. He became exactly what he was complaining about. Ie. === hypocrite.

In this light, it may be that those so critical may have been correct at the onset of his entrance. However, I still feel that responses should be more diplomatic until the troll  is more evident. On the other hand, people do not want to waste their time on trolls or those not really interested.

Hmmm... wonder why, eh?

Complains about hospitality, and doesn't take up the kindest most hospitable offer made?
