pretty much as predicted, on Sunday 7pm local time in Romania, but small, over 3 on Richter.
And yes, for those who didn't know it yet, there is such a science, seismology, it can predict some seismic activity beforehand, though just as any science is not entirely perfect, and even if some seismic activity is expected, it can not be exactly pinpointed.
At least in this case the government in Ukraine, at least, was frand enough to be open about it and prepare the population, unlike in most of the cases, kudos for them!

my wife called home and her mom told her the same thing. She said that it was to be centered in Romania.
Of course we told her that you can't predict earthquakes, but I think she is going to take the better safe than sorry attitude.

The government knows it can't predict an earthquake.

The media knows the government can't predict an earthquake.

The people know the government can't predict an earthquake.

So if the government predicts an earthquake and tells everyone
to sleep with ID on them it is quite possible that many people
will be sleeping with ID on them.

So what is really going on?  Must be time to look at the news wire,
ignoring stories about earthquakes.
