My wife is in Tashkent, Uzbekistan pending K-3 approval.  She wants to go to Ekaterinburg, Russia to visit her father prior to coming to the U.S.  There's not enough time to get a personal invitation from her father processed so we were going to go the tourist visa route.  We found a hotel that will do it for $300.  Since she will be staying with her father that seems pricey.

Any suggestions?

Keep looking! I would not pay this $300 hi-way robbery fee.

You should be able to bribe an official to do this for $70.
