They're going to have a final showing of her works.

Here is a brief bio on her.

I'm not to up on her philisophical(?) point of view, but anything russian, and to that pertains to their livelyhoods on a day to day basis is interesting.

Dry historical books on wars are kinda boring to me.
I'd like to hear about it from a biographical point of view, where in which you can read about peoples upbringing.

While most Americans don't think much about their stuggles and fears.  I think if someone was to put together a very reflective book on the topic of people lives in Russia/or FSU.  It would be a very enlightening and interesting book.

Did you mean books about Russia or books by Ayn Rand? Rand grew up in Russia and hated it (at least the government and ecconomic system, if I recall correctly, she LIKED the people), that's why she wrote books like that. I've read some of her work but I can't remember if I've read that particular one. Her masterpiece is Atlas Shrugged. Most decent used book stores have a good selection of her work.

Ayn Rand hated the communist regime.

She is an extreme Capitalist / Libertarian.... She would probably think William F. Buckley is a Liberal...

Also she had a book: Fountainhead, which was made into a movie.

Trivia... The Canadian Rock Band "Rush" were Ayn Rand fans. They even dedicated an album to her.

Their song: "The Trees" stands as a great tribute to her... and a pretty cool song...
