One final note about running adds.  My experience after running adds in Kiev and Lugansk was that I had a great response, over 30 letters, some by mail and most by E-mail.  The draw back was that it seemed I got a lot of young women from Lugansk respond.  I think there must be a ton of young women like under 23 that are in this city.  (Just not my cup of tea)  The women from Kiev that responded were much more critical asked all sorts of questions much more then from Lugansk, that is good but also make it tuff.  (I feel Kiev women are more experienced about international dating)

All in all everything was positive for the most part I think I only got two potential scammer and they were easy to spot.  What running these adds have done to me is really wear me out.  I got to the point that I really didn't feel like writing anymore.  Just no interest no mater how good looking or charming.  Again I am burned out on all this.  I have my ticket for May and I am sitting on a big "Zero" as far as ladies to meet.  Today I have none that write me and I am not writing to any.  Just no more motivation after some 2-1/2 years of playing this game.  I am not depressed about it I just think that maybe I have learned or read to much about all this that it has effected me in a negative way.

First, a question :  

Relative to your lady from Lugansk that you bank rolled for a few grand -- whereby things did not work out - did you ever put her into a category of scammer or shades of grey of such? I mean it is easy to have friends when you let the cash flow like water when they are not used to such if you get my drift?

Anyway, I understand how disappointing that experience was for you and, that certainly can take the wind out of your sails. I know, I spent a lot of time and a lot of money on one lady and well, it just did not work out. It was a big waste of time, energy and funds. My enthusiasm has still not returned since that concluded last May. I am not giving up on all of this but, I simply like you do not have the enthusiasm to deal with all that writing etc. to try and find the right lady among the masses right now.

I started writing to several ladies after that disappointing situation but found that I just did not have the focused interest. Because of this, I quit writing to these ladies however, one lady would not let it drop and thus her and I are writing still. This has now lead to obligation of meeting her. But, like Oscar said in his trip report, the one lady that he thought that there would be chemistry with - there was zipo, nada, none. So, I know that it would be wiser for me to meet as many women as I can.

So, you have a trip scheduled for May and nothing planned much. My advice is go and meet many women if you can. Take the effort to set something up. I thought you said that you were going to meet a lady in Germany?
Anyway, take the effort right now to get things going to meet as many women as you can. I suggest that you employ help. Unless you have other options that you are settled with consider contacting Jack of FirstDream. He can help you to make your trip more rewarding.

LP's post regarding persistance is great advice, but let me give you a different point of view to think about.  You appear to be quite the obsessive type to me.  It is all or nothing for you.  My suggestion is to just cool it a bit and dial down your energy level in this process.  Date AW and have a life without your dream to find a Russian wife.  Look at all alternatives.  I see too many guys here that put all their eggs in one basket.  It is as if they MUST find a Russian wife as no other woman would do.  This type of desperate attitude is very obvious to people and especially obvious to women.  You just may find what you are looking for if you just don't try so darn hard.  I think your statement about you "playing the game for 2 1/2 years" is incorrect.  The game has played YOU for 2 1/2 years.  Best of luck to you.

I think you might be right, I also think that if I put as much effort into finding a AW that I do finding RW then I might have better luck...  Ya I know she is an AW but there are good ones out there...

Ryan, push your trip back one week, go to Houston, see this really great AW for you, catch a ride to Dallas with BarryM (unless of course I am really BarryM as Drew has claimed over 70 times the last three months), go to this really nice big Bar-B-Que where you will see what it is like to meet a lot of wonderful, sincere Russian women, and then we'll take you to DFW airport where you can catch your flight back home.  You'll see a lot of men with big smiles from ear to ear, talk with some of them and maybe you'll learn something from it all.

Hey Jack, Actually I am not just flying to Houston for this AW.  I will be interviewing for a job and will probably end up moving down there.  I have familiy in Dallas and Houston areas.  As for going to the Ukraine, I still have my ticket and might use it in the Fall after I get settled...  Thanks for the invite to the Bar-B-Que sounds wonderful, what is it a Planet-Love reunion? Bunch of people you helped find love?  Your right it would be a great learning experience, maybe some other time thou..

Over 90% of the people who will attend this event will probably have no knowledge of Planet-Love.

This Bar-B-Que/pic-nic is a get together that started 6 years ago by a handful of people just hoping to be able to meet other local single men who were in the pursuit for a Russian bride and for local married Russian women to meet other local Russian women.  

It is nothing more than a form of networking and helping local Russian women to meet other local Russian women. And at the same time I expect there will be about 10 single men there who are involved with the pursuit for a Russian bride and each of these guys will meet other men and ladies and when this guy does find a fiancee and bring her to this area (LP said we aren't a country), he should be able to introduce his fiancee to several other Russian ladies at a time when she might need the support of other Russian ladies who have experienced what she is probably going thru.

You should try to attend!  If you are going to relocate to Houston you will be able to meet probably some 8 to 10 (good) people attending from the Houston area.
