My fiancee is having a tough time getting her police certificate anywhere in St. Petersburg. I'm trying to understand what she's having to go through here. Does anyone have any information I can use? For example, where does a person go to get a police certificate? Is the U.S. embassy sympathetic to refusals from Russian police officials? Is there a substitute for a police certificate?
If anyone has in the past acquired a police certificate from the St. Petersburg police, please contact me or post here. I'd be very interested to hear how you did it.
