Yesterday I got my haircut by the same women who cut my wife’s hair the other day. Before the owner of the salon started to cut my hair, she introduced my wife to the Russian women she had just hired that day. My wife went into the back of the salon to speak with the Russian women until I was done getting my haircut.
After we got home, my wife tells me, “ I just don’t like people anymore”, and I reply, why? Why do you say that? She tells me, “you know that Russian women I was talking to? She told me that her two daughters only date Russian men, not American men.” The conversation went on and my wife explained that she too is looking for a job, and asked this Russian women how hard it was to get a job, explaining that she was having a hard time getting one, and the Russian women replied that it was very easy to get a job for her.
So the conversation went on and the Russian women told my wife that all the girls whom she knows that have married American men are very rich, and that she should not have to work and should be able to attend college full time so that she can earn a degree here in the USA, as opposed to looking for some job. (the women works as an esthetician at the salon )
My wife asks me at home, “when this Russian women told me that her daughter will only date RM, what should I have said? And when she told me that it was very easy to get a job, how do you think that made me feel? And when she said that all the other girls she knows are rich, and they do not need to work, what could I have said to her?
I of course calmly answered, “ honey, besides her being someone who works on peoples skin, doing waxing etc, she also got here 10 years ago right? She say’s right, and I then say, well then, there is your answer, she is ......, not Russian.
