... in response to Scammers and Money : Anaylize this..., posted by tfcrew on Jan 21, 2002I must agree threw my experience (Achieved threw making some basic mistakes like sending money) sending money is not a good idea. First off they get the idea that it grows on trees over here. Gives false expectations (They don't have to work for it) some use the term "Americanizing Them." (The thought that men are searching in FSU for a woman that has a value system different than woman in the U.S.A.).
Second it creates an environment for scammers. Some of these women will actually use the money for what they are asking it for; others are just scamming you for money and have no intention of ever even meeting you. Then we have those in between, they are talking to you then you send money, the girl ends up meeting someone else now she is a considered a scammer. My opinion is that scamming is over rated, created by web based dating/marriage agencies in the beginning and is now used today as yet another tool that draws in customers for these very same agencies. (We screen our clients and have a scammer's page of known scammers. Right…)
The answer is not simple but for the majority of the cases DO NOT SEND MONEY is the key. After you meet then make your choice from then on even then are you going to be sure? Not always… This whole endeavor of finding and marring a women from FSU is no cake walk, and should not be tried by the weak of heart or for the most part weak of pocket change.
I also feel that you still didn't need to send money for her to setup these things for you but you made the choice to do so and you got lucky.
