There are a number of RW advertising in the personals on russianNY.com
Most of the advertisements are in English and they are from RW currently living all over the U.S.  I suggest you give it a try - look at the personals and see what RW here in the US are looking for.  For you guys interested in finding out about RW and Russian culture first hand but are unable to go to the FSU for a while I think this is a definite must.  You have to know a little Russian to be able to navigate the website, but I know it will be easy for guys like BM.

It does have free ads, but the pickings are poor. It seems like the only good women are still in Russia on that site. Also, there are not many recent ads, most of them are from last year. I wouldn't waste too much time with that site.

I agree.  That site is definitely a long shot - but you could get lucky.  The girls all have free email, and there is a possiblity one could be in your state.

There is the Russian General Store in Houston that sometimes has socials. I need to find out when the next one is.

One other thing for you guys who do not know any Russian.  All you have to do is click on the 14th word down on the left or skip the orange section, go to the red section and click on the fourth word down (it means meeting place) - I am too computer illiterate to be able to write in Russian on my computer like some of you computer whiz guys.  From there all you have to do is click with photos and the icon of a girl.  Good luck.  You may have some cuties in your home town.
